I’ve visited this pub a few times and always liked it, but went in tonight (Friday 25th) with 2 friends, we bought a couple of rounds and sat outside the front, there were no problems at this point but my friend said to go out the back so we made our way through the pub but as soon as we sat down a male member of staff came up to us and told us we had to leave, still very confused why, we asked a lot of times why they were asking us to leave and they wouldn’t tell us. We did absolutely nothing wrong, we were just moving from the front garden to the back and then as met with such aggressiveness from the staff for absolutely no reason no matter how many times we asked why, they wouldn’t tell us. Still don’t know why but obviously a pub that has no rules or morals about who they decide they don’t want there. When we did get a drink, a girl with dark hair served us and she was so so rude and treated us disgustingly and slammed our drinks on the bar when we ordered. Definitely won’t be coming back, nice pub for edge of city centre Manchester but staff let it down so so much, enough that we...
Read moreFrom the outside: a gorgeous building, Britain's finest architecture on timeless display. Inside: comfy, cosy, little features (fireplace; mantelpiece; etc.). Decent pint. But: when I visited this pub on February 5, 2015, at around 17:15, the barmaid was having a smoke outside (back yard), had to be called inside by an observant punter to take our orders. I probably wouldn't have mentioned it, if she hadn't been so keen on putting on the loudest and most awful music ever to be heard in any British pub! Clearly, her two friends at the bar didn't mind, but my companion and I were clearly annoyed, and we left after our first and only pint. If she had been more caring, we would have stayed for another round or three. The bar trade requires a modicum of sensitivity - a virtue clearly absent that day from the Eagle Inn. Rest assured, my deaf waitress, that this little episode is going to be exploited as recklessly as you were putting on your "music" in my next story, CURSED KERSAL, now part of my extended novel MANCHESTER X. I might give you a 2nd chance...
Read moreWent to DnB event here last Sunday and what an awesome venue!!! Will definitely go again for something here! (I travelled up from London for it!)
Its a quirky little Victorian pub in the red brick synonymous with Salford/Manchester. Three different little rooms for drinking and incredibly has a lot of its original Victorian features!
The venue is a super interesting room in the left side of the pub - wicked soundsystem, ideal lighting and a mezzaine! The mezzaine is a touch ✨️👌
Has a good front terrace as well as a back terrace and we were extremely lucky to have the guys serving Tacos in the food area. The tacos were some of the MOST authentic Ive tried outside of Mexico 🔥
Prices were good, vibe was good and the landlord himself was great too! Hope it continues to go very...
