I recently had the pleasure of dining at Franco Manca on Mitchel St in Glasgow, and it was a charming experience overall. The restaurant exuded a cozy Italian ambiance, and the pizzas they served left a positive impression.

The staff at Franco Manca were friendly and welcoming, making me feel comfortable right from the moment I walked in. The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, and it was evident that it was a popular spot among both locals and visitors.

The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the pizzas. Franco Manca prides itself on their slow-rising sourdough crust, and it delivered on its promise. The crust had a lovely texture and a distinct flavor that added character to each bite. Topped with fresh ingredients, the pizzas were flavorful and well-balanced.

I tried their classic Vegetarian special, and it was amazing. The tomato sauce had a tangy taste, the mozzarella was melted perfectly, and the caramailsied onions and pesto paired togther perfectly. It was a simple yet incredible combination of flavors.

Franco Manca offers a decent variety of pizzas to cater to different preferences. Whether you prefer meaty options, vegetarian alternatives, or unique flavor combinations, you're likely to find something that suits your taste. The staff were knowledgeable and willing to offer recommendations, which was appreciated.

While the pizzas stole the show, Franco Manca also had a selection of refreshing beverages, including a good assortment of wines and artisanal soft drinks, to accompany your meal. The staff were helpful in suggesting drink pairings, enhancing the overall experience.

The service at Franco Manca was attentive and pleasant. The staff were professional and took good care of their customers, ensuring a smooth dining experience. Their passion for their work was evident and added a nice touch to the visit.

In conclusion, Franco Manca on Mitchel St in Glasgow provides a charming pizza experience. The restaurant's focus on quality ingredients and traditional techniques is commendable, and their pizzas offer a satisfying taste. If you're in the mood for a cozy atmosphere and flavorful pizzas, Franco Manca is...

Service - It felt like we were an inconvenience, and they wanted to close up (it was only about 7pm on Thursday). Interactions with staff were entirely functional, not friendly. We were waved to a table on arrival. We ordered starters, and when they arrived we were told our pizzas were in the oven. We didn't really know what to say other than "ok", since it was too late to do anything about it. The implication seemed to be "you'd better crack on eating those starters". Halfway through eating our starters, the pizzas were shoved on the edge of the table without comment.

Food - Starters were good, but wasn't able to really enjoy for reasons mentioned above. Mains - pizza was sparsely and unevenly topped. Didn't really enjoy the smoked burratta pizza - amount of burratta was minimal, amount of mozzarella was minimal, amount of ham was minimal and maybe two basil leaves... Dough was good, but couldn't make up for the toppings. A bit disappointing having previously had excellent experiences in other FMs in the past.

I wouldn't have paid a tip, but 10% was baked into the price by default and we couldn't be bothered to have that...

Had a catch up dinner with my gal pals here not too long ago and let me assure you - it did not disappoint! First off, the food - beyond gorgeous, amazing but so fresh and light that I could still make room for a few pints of the delightful house lager, so WIN-WIN for pizza and beer enthusiasts alike! Second off, I would quite literally sell my car for the ice cream, it was so rich and creamy! Let me tell you I honestly did not expect this quality of dessert food from a pizza place. And last, but definitely of the utmost importance, the SERVICE - Kiera served. She was an absolute gem, a ray of sunshine that perfectly balanced her delightful bashful Irish nature and fantastic professionalism to ensure impeccable service with a few laughs along the way! Franco Manca should be proud to have such a great representative. I was already planning on coming back for more delicious scran, but it is an absolute guarantee after how well Kiera treated us! I could go on for hours but I’ll finish with, give Franco Manca a visit on your next date night, catch up dinner or work lunch - you won’t regret it! Thanks again Kiera - I’ll be...

The pizza was cold when it was taken out, it was also forgotten to cut and when it was cut, it finally cooled down. The dough was absolutely unsalted, sour and clogged. As if it had fermented and because of that it did not grow enough in the oven. I’ve eaten pizza a lot, including in Italy, so I can safely say that I’m an expert in this. If you want to eat deliciously, go to Poezano, there the prices are more pleasant and the service. The culmination of the spoiled evening was that we ordered 2 beers for 0.33 (pointed with a finger in the menu) and we were given 2 pints, we immediately did not attach importance, but they added to the bill to our bill (which were not actually on the menu and we did not drink so much because we ordered less) after we paid, I noticed it and told the waiter his answer was just exhaustive «well, we took out a pint for you, next time specify what exactly you want 0.33 and so that we don’t worry» oh yes, I’m not worried, I just paid an extra 2 and paid a service fee of 3.7£ for Disgusting service, of course I’m not worried...

It was ok. Nothing that would make you feel like being back to Naples, but simply ok. They advertise themselves as being authentic but being in Italy multiple times, the pizza served today was far from the authentic Italian one. The dough was soggy and undercooked. The prices are high compared to what is being offered. I think we paid £18 each for a margherita, a side salad and a juice. Talking side salad, it was a bunch of leaves with 3 kalamata olives, 2 halves of plum tomato and some shreds of parmesan on top of it. The tables are far too small for the sizes of the dishes that are being served. We had to put our condiments and water onto a windowsill to have space for a plate of pizza and wee bowl of salad. Stars honestly only for the staff that was lovely, attentive and made us feel welcome. Better places in town that serve nicer authentic Italian dishes.

First time visit here. I went for the No7, £12.75; smoked spicy salami and basil. The sourdough base was light but the crust was a bit too bready, and the salami didn’t bring the spice I’d hoped for. It’s a decent pizza but I expected a bit better. With two Paesanos in Glasgow, it’s hard not to compare Franco Manca to the goat. While the No7 was solid, it just didn’t hit the same heights for me as Paesano does. They had a good deal on over the festive period, 4 course set menu for £25 but I wasn’t up for it this time round.
