Attended a concert by De Wolff with German friends. I gave up going to stereo long ago as it really is a dreadful venue. God knows its original purpose in antiquity. It now is yet another basement air raid shelter resembling some old derelict factory. Huge ceiling pipes and pillars all around Like a scene from some apocalyptic post nuclear sci-fi movie.Glasgow is full of them. SGW3 being the worst in a long list.It is disgraceful that we are charged highly to be packed in , standing like sardines pushed up toward the stage but so many just accept it . Drunk weirdos, the walking dead. They all stand head banging. I really despair. The concert was mercifully short. I couldnt wait to get out. I would have left had it not been for the fact that i was with holidaying German Friends. I will not attend these places anymore. Its shameful. Disabled facilities are practically non existent. I am an Arthritis sufferer and cannot stand for long periods. I had to sit on a hard uncomfortable bench running along a wall. I couldn't. see the band All i could see was the backsides of those crammed toward stage in front of me its like paying for torture. The sound was unbearably loud Vocals were inaudible. Whole thing was a shambles in every way. Its really shameful and can't be considered as entertainment in any stretch of the imagination. I AM OUT,NO MORE.

I’ve been going to stereo for just over a year now and every time it’s one of the best nights. First time was a year ago for a gig, and the atmosphere is lovely and the sound is great. Then started going for food and drinks. Most recent trip was this Thursday, I had their congee (pictured) and my friends had a few other things. Everything was lovely, my friends (who are all non vegans) rated the meal so highly as well. I constantly take vegans and non vegans here alike because it’s one of the best places in Glasgow to eat. I always get a pint of hogans draught cider as stereo is the only place that does a decent cider on draught in Glasgow so it’s always a nice treat to go and get that too. It’s a nice dry cider that kind of has the taste of scrumpy I used to drink when I was living back in Somerset. Anyway, been meaning to leave this review for a long time! But I was reminded to do so after remembering the great customer service from the staff and how polite and attentive they all are towards me and my Friends. As I imagine they are to any guests they have in. Cheers for the great night!

Great food, great cocktails, great staff. Stereo was full when we arrived so we had to wait at the bar - an opportunity to get a cocktail. I highly recommend the chunky monkey if you like a milky cocktail. It was creamy but not thick and had a very subtle little kick. Similar to drinking baileys but milder. The chip supper was the best vegan fish I’ve ever had. The subtle fish flavour in the batter evoked memories of my actual fish eating days. Partner got the buffalo cauliflower and said it was excellent. Portions were big and they had containers for me to take away what I couldn’t finish. There was an issue with our bill which the staff solved without any fuss! Would recommend, would return. LGBTQ+ friendly Only negative was that the toilets were a bit smelly.

We reserved a few tables at Stereo for a 15 person community meet up. We talked with the manager when booking and established every person would pay for their own food and drink when they ordered at the bar.

When we arrived, the waitresses took orders from the tables. They clearly hadn’t been briefed on what our agreement was. After an hour or so, I expressed my concern to the man on staff that people didn’t know they had to pay their own bill. I asked him if he could help me make sure the group knew this… he immediately lost his cool and explained he told my colleague when we booked it wasn’t possible to split a bill.

I offered to call my colleague so they could talk - there had obviously been a miscommunication somewhere. My colleague answered the call happy to chat with him. He point blank refused to talk to her. He kept saying, very loudly, What’s the point in talking to her? What’s the point in talking to her?

By this time, my colleague and I were distressed and our group could sense something was wrong. This was embarrassing to say the least. I asked him to please stop being aggressive. After much huffing and puffing he said “I’ve already said people can come to the bar and pay for what they had”

Dear reader, he did not say this at any stage in our conversation. When I asked for this he said it was not possible. When I asked to speak to the manager he told me he was the manager. Wow. This man has no concept of how customer service works.

I’ve been going to Stereo for over 20 years and I will never go again. Over 15 of us spent the majority of the day there, spending significant money and he was rude and extremely...

The past two times I've been to Stereo I've been disappointed. This most recent time, we had several problems with our order and the staff. We got one each of the specials for the day. My tacos had a strange chemical smell, so my husband brought it to the staff's attention. I watched as the waitress pass my food from one person to person behind the bar with each one sticking their noses in it to smell it. Then the waitress brought the same food back to our table and explained that it was a corn tortilla and it smelled fine. WTF. Even if they were fine before, now that everyone's nose has been in it, its just gross. Also, I know what a corn tortilla smells like, and it shouldn't smell like a toilet. Later on a busboy came to take our dishes and asked if everything was alright. I said everything was fine except for the tacos, so he was nice enough to take it off the bill. The total came to 11 pound something. It was a nice gesture, so I was going to leave a nice tip and just chalk it up to one bad tortilla. No big deal. Then I overheard a waitress saying "oh he just wants a free meal"

About five minutes later, they come back with my change, and to my surprise, they had changed the original bill to a total of 15 pound. They didn't say a thing, just increased the total without telling me, and then brought me change like nothing had happened. Seriously bad customer service, insulting waitstaff, and bad food.

To top it all off, my husband's meal should have come with a coffee or a tea. There was no coffee. There was no tea. There was only...

Great food for fairly reasonable prices! Thats where the positivity ends sadly.

The place does get packed out in evenings as has been mentioned before; no issue there. The atmosphere is good and decor etc is nice!

Now for the cons, My latest visit was with my parents and girlfriend - 4 total. We were sat at a small round table barely suitable for a couple. The majority of the surrounding larger square tables were occupied by couples drinking. It would have been a nice gesture if we could have been swapped to a larger one just to eat our meal.

We had to go and collect our own 4th chair; which one of the wait staff nearly slapped out my fathers hands as it hindered her retrieving her tips from a table for a fraction of a second.

Wait staff are too preoccupied messing around with each other to take your order in a timely manner. I watched 3 of them break down a table some guys had been drinking at; all the while our order still hadn't been taken - even for drinks!

Upon finishing we sat in plain site awaiting our plates being taken (4 plates stacked in the middle of a small round table!) and to put in our desert order. But again the staff had decided to take a seat at one of the comfy tables beside us for a chat. After waiting 10 or so minutes we decided just to go to the bar and pay and subsequently leave.

Like I said, foods great and very reasonable - service...
