We were discriminated by staff due to my brother's disability and refused entry, which is not acceptable. I entered this pub in the evening of the 14th of September 2022 with my brother who has a disability and walks with a limp due to his prosthetic leg. Just as we came in the staff told us to go saying my brother had been drinking too much and the pub was closed, while it was clear it wasn't as there were about 10people inside. Read moreI usually pop into the Imperial when I’m in town and its always a nice experience whether on my own for a quiet pint or with friends for a night out. Lovely clean old-style bar (loos could do with a spruce up – but they are clean) with some nice modern décor , chairs etc. Clientele and staff are always friendly. Nice selection of reasonably priced drinks and one of the few pubs in the city that sells Youngers Tartan. Renovation has maybe lost some of its ye old charm over time but it still has a little of its original character. Stained glass, a central ornate bar and some classic pub decor on the walls.
