Al Basha — Restaurant in Wales

All I can say this is the absolute best meal I have ever had! Seen this place Saturday for the first time, ordered the mix Spicey kebab, thoroughly enjoyed it. For £8 it was massive abdni finished it off the next day... so tonight being Sunday, I said to my family I'm traveling 12 miles to get a kebab, so the wife had a kebab, my son and I had the 3 skewer grill. Well mine came with rice chips all the trimmings and boy it was awesome! Cooked on the charcoal grill, like traditional way, and the smokiness was amazing on the flavour of the meat I have never tatsed before. It was heaven on a plate! My brother came with us and decided to order 10 wings cooked again on the BBQ grill and they were so tender juicy abd full of flavour and the smokiness from the grill was intense and well balanced. Best wings ever.. as we were there the owner was giving us tester foods of chicken and different sauces and his hospitality was sooo soo friendly and I didn't want to leave, these guys are absolutely amazing and looked after us well on tasting foods that I have never tried before which I really appreciated. I visit Al Basha, usually in the early hours of the morning after a filthy night out. Upon entry I feel welcomed by the knowledge that a chicken shawarma awaits my eager taste buds, whilst my bank balance feels safe, comfortable and secure due to the small price of just a fiver for this excellent cuisine.

In my experience, the jovial fellows behind the counter are always keen to help and I feel as if it is their passion to make my shawarma. I usually go for lettuce, cucumber, olives (with more olives), jalapeños, followed by garlic Mayo. I would recommend this combination to any wary club goer, or infact any human on this planet as It feels like a fresh breeze of cool air on a hot summers day to my tired and drunk mouth.

Once or twice I have saved my chicken shawarma until the morning after, wrapping it up nicely like a new born baby and placing it gently in the fridge. Even then it didn’t disappoint. I struggle down the stairs in the early evening of the next day to find a half eaten wrap, which I have no recollection of existing, and annihilate it, like a swarm of piranhas with a bloody deer.

Enjoyed the Humus as well as Mutaboul, amazing! The lamb skewers were somehow not well cooked in the mixed platter, needed to have scare for a couple hours to think may have been contaminated, not true though... Carbonated drink made the indigestion feeling settle later in the evening, portion was just enough for single person. Rest were just OK in the platter. CHICKEN mandi was just enough with the platter. Had a good healthy supply of chips for the kids and thank you to the good man in the kitchen for that! Boss man also came in to clarify about the Gluten status and appreciated. Was hungry as anything yet still had to tone down the ranking so can imagine overall... maybe were there too early in the day...place was tidy otherwise... won't try anytime soon the lamb menu but I think...
