Awful. Please do not even consider going to this restaurant. Before even walking in the restaurant its located to a smelly toilet. Brilliant placement. Before even walking in, a lady laughed about how bad the place was which was the first warning.
Firstly, after being seated into the restaurant before even looking at the menu, we were pestered by the waiters on what we wanted to order which made us feel uncomfortable and pressured.
For the starters, a platter was handed to us that consisted of a selection of frozen food that was noticable straight away. For restaurant standards this was despicable and not up to standard what so ever. The only edible portion was the prawn crackers which shocker, probably was store bought. However this only got worse from here.
For the mains, our food was brought out and honestly was laughable how disgusting the food was. We could identify every single simple and bland ingredient it contained. Everything was AGAIN frozen and tasted honestly like animal food. Genuinly, it tasted like Iceland frozen food. 'Chicken chow mein' was overcooked and tasted like pure bottom. So called cantonese sauce also tasted like pure ketchup.
Next, the dessert was all not suprisingly store bought from the frozen section. The desserts were the most tolerable part of the meal however was disturbingly not sufficient to meet basic restaurant standards.
Additionally, the music playlist was an awful selection and not suitable to set a nice ambience for a supposed chinese restaurant. Instead of even playing official songs they had to use covers which was horrifically comedic. The whole restaurant had horrendous decorations and not authentic whatsoever and a mockery to chinese restaurant culture.
Please never ever consider this place. Hopefully customers stop visiting and Llandudno can be free...
Read moreWell i hope you've got 5 minutes? Although had a table booked had a 15 minute wait at the top of the stairs right by the open toilet door.
After being seated we had to ask the waiter to sweep the floor under our table as there was a plate full of food under it.
Onwards and upwards we hoped! ordering a refreshing pint of diet coke i was served a 3/4 glass of warm flat full fat coke from a 2 litre plastic bottle with no ice and certainly no slice.
Starters were ok looked a bit sorry for themselves shriveled under the hot light, what i ate of them was so so but least you expect from a chinese buffett is some chicken and sweetcorn soup but in fairness they had substituted them for everyone favorite chinese starter salt and pepper cocktail sausages🙈
On to the main courses again the king prawn curry was ok looked presentable tasted alright but the soft noodles were so dehydrated they were drier than gandhi's flip flop.
After that i couldnt bring myself to try a pudding for fear the mr whippy ice cream machine was going to serve me a bowl of curdled semi skimmed milk so my wife hastly went to pay with her card. As the lady behind the bar entred the amount for the bill a prompt popped up on the screen asking does the customer want to pay an extra service charge of £1.85 and instead of asking my wife the lady spun the card machine around whilst hitting the green button and adding it to the bill like a bit of slight of hand David Blaine would have been proud of obviously not her first time.
All in all terrible dont go UNLESS..... The thought of salt and pepper cocktail sausages are something that gets your...
Read moreWe visited here recenty as fancied a chinese and this was resonably priced. We do have some diertry requirement which we advsied the waitress as the note on the wall says. We ordered drinks which were £3 for a pint of coke/diet coke/lemonde and they were poured from large bottles so I feel was a little over priced. You help yourself to the starters which consisted of chips, onion rings, garlic mushrooms, nuggets, ribs, duck pancakes etc. You then order main course from the waitress where we reitterated out dietery requirements as it was a different waitress. Unfourtuntly we were served prawns and luckily saw them before we ate them. They were happy to change the food but there did seem to be some issues between staff as they appeared worried to tell the owner. However the food which was returned couldnt be eaten as the person was then really worried about what was in the food and also thought there may be chicken in it however did not want to complain again so just ate the noodles. The Tofu curry was lovely however and would recomment. The dessert is again self service with the usual frozen/defrosted cakes and the ice cream machine was out of order so scoop ice cream was offered. 1 of us loved dessert and the other 2 thought it was average. Overall for some of us it was ok and terrible for others so I guess it depends on taste and dietary requirements however I would NOT recommend if you have allergies. We wont go again but can see why people do for the price. £57 for...
