CitySightseeing - Llandudno & Conwy Bus — Local services in Great Britain

Had a very enjoyable trip to the top of the Orme. Denise the driver said that she would pick up at 10 past the hour, but if the bus was full she would drop off and return directly. We arrived for 5 minutes to 1. Dave arrived and departed at 1pm but only allowed 4 on and said we would have to wait another hour for Denise to return... because he wasn't prepared to come back up after dropping off. Subsequently, if they were full again, we would then have to wait at least 20 minutes. I complained to the office and requested a pick up for the 6 people who had been waiting an hour in scorching hot sun by then. Mike saved the day and collected us in a 7 seater..sadly Dave needs to get himself another job, preferably not in...

I think this service is too expensive for what it offers. You get a "hop on hop off" ticket which is valid for 24 hours, which sounds great until you realise that Llandudno and Conwy are very close together with very little to see in between. Realistically you're going to travel from Llandudno to Conwy, have a look around Conwy and then travel back to Llandudno. After that you have the option of going back around in circles along the same route until the novelty of being on an open top bus wears off or throwing your ticket in the bin. Personally I think they need to extend the route, maybe Llandudno-Conwy-Colwyn Bay-Rhos on Sea-Llandudno, so that passengers have more than one stop where it's worth their while...

The bus was at least 30 minutes late, and then when it did arrive in Conwy, we sat there in the sun for another 15 minutes before finally setting off - so 45mins late. Also, the bus driver didn't stop at one of the stops, even though we pressed the "Stop" button in advance. We should have saved ourselves a lot of time and money and got the local bus service instead (3-4 of those buses passed us while we were waiting for the "frequent" hop on/off bus. I wouldn't recommend this service to any tourists. If you want to see Conwy and Llandudno, just take the local bus service instead...
