8Had a nice pint on my own in here last night. Only had one other pint earlier but I was refused service when I asked for another because apparently I was swaying. Well i was sober but I am on meds for depression etc since my missus died horrifically two years ago. The fella made no attempt to talk to me to see if I was OK , just wouldn't serve me . I'm 62 , been drinking in pubs regularly all my adult life , never had a problem all over the world but this fella jumped to the wrong conclusion. Don't go in here if you are on meds for depression, what a terrible attitude to a person on his own. I am only up here because my Mum is in a care home in Llandudno, struggling with my life but never give a problem to anyone . Apart from a bit of swaying to the good Irish music the only other thing I can think of for his attitude towards me was my accent, I am a proud Scouser . A lot of the other customers were very loud & boisterous but this fella singled me out & he works there . I got upset when I left . Horrific treatment of a quiet, well behaved person on their own , wont be going back there, avoid it if you have any mental health issues or a accent the bar man...

Read moreThere was only a reduced menu (Sunday dinner, baked potatoes, or sandwiches) and it took a while for anyone to take our drinks order. We weren’t told that there would be a delay in food service, due to there being only one chef, until after we’d already been waiting over 20 minutes. When the food finally came, one of the meals was missing, due to the server messing up our order (you can’t go wrong with writing people’s orders down…rather than just relying on your memory). We’d all finished eating (two of the group sharing one of the meals), and were ready to leave, by the time the missing dish arrived. The meal sizes did not warrant the hefty £6.50 each (plus another 60p for toasting each of the sandwiches). We weren’t charged for the late meal and were given a slight discount on our remaining bill. Too little, too late. I wouldn’t recommend The Irish Bar at all and it was a very disappointing end to an...
