I have previously given this place 5 stars. However I took my family there a party of 9 today. We arrived at 9.55. No problem. We can wait a few minutes. However the very rude woman who came to the doo, firstly said they had no cash float - no problem we can pay on card. Then she made another excuse and said they weren't serving food until 10.30. ( I had been in previously and also couldn't get served as they were going home) but that's another complaint. So I had asked about opening and closing times. I was told breakfast was from 10 am. So to be told we'd have to wait till 10.30 after dragging little children all the way down the pier for breakfast and a diabetic lady who needed to eat asap was not acceptable. But even more so was her rudeness. Thoroughly shocking. The other lady there was polite and kind. But the lady with the brown hair does your business no service. I will not be going back ever. Which is sad as I've gone several times before and left good reviews in the past. But this today has left me feeling very unhappy. She ruined...
Read moreSpent a pleasant half-hour at this little café at the end of the pier. There was plenty of outdoor seating, but I chose to sit inside. The café building is probably as old as the pier itself, and has lovely stained glass windows, but there are also some nice modern fixtures like the wood and rope chandeliers and, if you can get a window seat, there are wonderful views of Llandudno and the bay. Both atmosphere and staff were very welcoming. Had a nice chat with the friendly young waiter while he was serving me at the bar. You can get sandwiches and basic meals here, but I just ordered a slice of cake and a drink. I wasn't expecting them to be served in a cake box and a cardboard cup, with a wooden fork, but the chocolate cake was nevertheless delicious, and the mocha was very good. Some great music to listen to as well! Prices were about average. No toilets in the café itself, but there are some close by...
Read moreOrdered 2 chicken in basket meals (popcorn chicken, chicken strips, onion rings, chips and coleslaw) for myself and eldest Daughter, 1 bacon and Brie panini for my wife and a pizza for my youngest. Pizza was big, very hot and a 9/10 score from my youngest, Panini was also tasty. However, the chicken in basket was very poor! Popcorn chicken and chicken strips VERY dry with hardly any chicken in either of them. Onion rings were also dry and tasteless but the chips were OK and the coleslaw too. All of the above with two bottles of coke, one iced coffee and one hot chocolate was £45!! Absolutely rip off!! Decent enough place for quick a tea/coffee/hot chocolate or light snack but DO NOT buy the chicken in basket meal. On the whole, we won’t be...
