Went in shortly after 9 on a Saturday night and the place was completely empty. Sat down and began ordering drinks. There were 4 of us total, my husband and myself, our 5 year old, and a friend who had just flown across the country. She is petit and youthful, but is 36 years old and was ready for her first margarita since landing.
While the gentleman was taking our drink orders, he takes one for me, one for my husband, one for the kid, but told our companion that he would not serve her. Dumbfounded, we assumed it was because she looked so young and maybe he was joking. Nope. He was ACTUALLY accusing her of being intoxicated! She had drank NOTHING prior to our dinner outing, I know, I've been with her. Obviously this man was unwilling to abandon his discriminatory ideals for reason, as he proceeded to insult her by saying "look at you!" and "i can give you coffee on the house". So, we decided his restaurant was COMPLETELY EMPTY on a Saturday night because he had no desire to serve customers.
BTW, I hold a class 11 and 12 alcohol servers permit. I'm a sticker for safe alcohol service. This was a blatant refusal to...
Read moreI see so much advertising about this place having cocktails but from the moment you walk in, you have to wonder where the bar is, and if you're not going to ask, you will never even know if it has one or not.. like in our case. However, they do have a ridiculously (and assuming useless) extensive cocktails menu pulled out of one of those 10,000+ cocktail recipes book.. but since I couldn't find the bar at this place myself, I didn't order anything off of it. The food menu is also ridiculously extensive, quite confusing. The service wasn't terrible although the server seemed to be on edge, or something and was a bit pushy at times, and the food was average. Prices are fair though. I wouldn't consider this authentic Mexican though, it reminded me more of Tex-Mex food. We will not...
Read moreI ordered a house margarita blended and two "street tacos". The complimentary chips were pretty tasty but everything else was less than average. The margarita was small for the price ($6.50) and barely blended, it was separating by the time she walked it over to my table. The street tacos were reminiscent of taco bell tacos but three times the price ($3.25 per taco!!) with the same cheap shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, packaged shredded cheese and hard shell taco casing. I liked the meat (shredded beef) on the inside but it was truly underwhelming. I shouldnt be surprised...it's Aberdeen, WA...
