Carminati Creamery — Restaurant in Abington Township

So, I'm lowering my rating because of customer service. I was introduced to Carminati by a family member. The flavors are delicious. However, let me just say you never know who's watching you. It was about 20 minutes before closing, and I wanted to let my son taste this local shop and decided to go in. The guy working was not the owner. I've met him. The guy was clearly more concerned with getting out by closing time and didn't bother to greet me and say he'll be with me in a moment. By the time he did, he was finishing up stacking things on the rack and cleaning up. Those were his priorities. He was more focused on finishing what he was working on. He did a quick rinse under the faucet with his hands, no washing, and then, rather than getting a towel to dry them, he just dried his still dirty but wet hands on his shorts. I'm thinking that he'll at least put gloves on, but nope! He proceeded to take my order. I've received much better service the couple of times I've supported them, but this particular time wasn't it. I asked for a lid, which he seemed he really was just in a hurry. As I attempted to put the lid on, it fell off and went under the counter, so I asked for another one. From the look on his face, I think the guy expected me to get on my knees and grab underneath the counter to find it. With all due respect, def not for someone who was too lazy to put gloves on and wash their hands properly before serving me. I won't be back. Carminati's is not the only cute local shop! Honestly, I bought a Ninja Creami that I need to start using. I should be making my own frozen desserts anyway. To be honest, I probably wouldn't have left this review had he not wiped his hands on his shorts before proceeding...

I recently had the pleasure of striking up a delightful conversation with Carminati Creamery over Facebook, specifically discussing their Jenkintown location. My wife and I decided to pay them a visit, and let me tell you, we were absolutely blown away by the flavors and the overall experience.

The ice cream at Carminati Creamery is nothing short of a taste sensation. My personal favorites were the rich and indulgent Biscoff and the heavenly Oreo Peanut Butter. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors that left my taste buds dancing with delight.

What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional customer service provided by three young men who were working there on Friday, December 1st. Their genuine warmth, enthusiasm, and friendliness made our visit memorable. In a world where technology often dominates, it was refreshing to see a younger generation not only embracing but excelling in interpersonal skills.

These young men gave me hope for the future of customer service. Their attentiveness and engaging personalities transformed a simple ice cream outing into a fantastic customer service experience. It's evident that Carminati Creamery values not only the quality of their products but also the connections they build with their customers.

JUST WOW!! I couldn’t wait to leave a review for my new friends at Carminati Creamery! We don’t indulge often, so when we do, we want it to be great. They were so warm and friendly, telling us about the local creamery that they get their milk & cream from; spending a lifetime in Glenside; opening a new location in Jenkintown (best of luck! 🍀). But the proof was in the “pudding”, or in this case, the gelato. They make new flavors all the time, all natural ingredients and flavorings. I picked up chocolate caramel swirl and separately Nutella for my husband. Plus a baseline vanilla, which is tell all!! (They use Madagascar beans). For me? LOL - I’m lactose intolerant 😞 but no worries. The dreamiest cantaloupe sorbet I could ever hope for!! It was divine!!!
