Last Friday (9/19/25) me and my date had a reservation set at 7pm to which we had arrived.
Initially, things started out great, the food was good on my date and on mine's ends, plus we had a friendly and diligent server gentleman whose name I unfortunately cannot recall at the moment.
However the experience for us began to sour when other folks other than our main server began to constantly pester us in intervals that were far too often to be considered courteous.
The first 3 instances were ok since it was offers of bread or refill of drinks, but the issue began when the additional servers would round back around almost every other 10 mins asking us the same questions that we had already confidently answered prior.
Moreover, as we were nearing the conclusion of our meal while heavily engrossed in conversation, the additional servers kept showing up as if they wanted to rush off of the table. Mind you, we were well ways away before closing, an hour and half to an hour and 10 mins with neighboring tables mostly empty.
My date began to feel discomforted and offended and I shared her sentiment, especially when as we approached the exit, we both said goodnight to the staff only to be ignored simultaneously. When we had made our complaints to the manager, she tried to explain away our treatment to language barriers and misunderstanding of customs, but truthfully it came off as an outright dismissal.
The food once again was great, but the actions of the staff as a majority has dampened the chances of me and my date ever wanting to make a return...
Read moreThis restaurant was a very nice surprise. It was my first time really being in Jenkintown. My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this little gem. PLEASE NOTE: it’s BYOB. They do not serve a drop of alcohol. The Fine Wine and Good Spirits store is just 3 minutes away, driving, so stop there first to grab your bottle of wine.
There’s a parking lot out back, but it’s metered. So is all of the nearby parking. On Wednesday’s, the parking is free after 5 and free after 8 every other day.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is classy but comfortable, like being at someone’s very nice house. The lighting is just right. We sat along the wall where there is one long booth-style seat and then tables with a chair on the aisle side.
The food was amazing! I had the Ravioli which comes in a pink Vodka sauce. The portion was perfect. I started with a Caesar salad. I’m pretty basic. My boyfriend had a salad too (can’t remember which) and the Hearty Lasagna which was just that. The entrees aren’t served with sides, but I think they do offer them. We didn’t have dessert that day, but I’ll be sure to try some next time. The service was great. Everyone was very personable. I enjoyed the...
Read moreI went to a party here. The atmosphere was really pleasant. The service could do better in their attention to detail and built rapport with their customers. I felt like if the staff asked what kind of meat, if the person decided to have meat, how they would have liked it would have helped. Because a lot of people got what they didn't want. I think being more open to communication with the customer, by listening, not forgetting orders, make some kind of eye contact or contact by some form of communication that the server understood what the customer needs. It felt that people at the party where being nuisance to the service staff.
I'm not sure what's going on in the kitchen, but that area needs work as well. Will not go into detail. I don't want to humiliate the owner. but I think this place can do better in those areas.. I wouldn't want to come here as a choice. I would feel like I'm bothering the service staff and I don't know about the kitchen, something...
