I would give no stars if I could. I went with friends and ordered a turkey burger. I cut the burger in half but did not look prior to eating and began to indulge in the burger. When I picked up the second half of the burger, I noticed that it was pink, I tore the burger to see if it was like that all the way through and it was. I showed my friends to confirm what I was seeing before I sent it back. They waiter was rude and stated that he would need to see if the manager would approve since it was half eaten. If I realized prior to eating I wouldn’t have touched it at all. He came back and asked what I wanted very rudely, I said fish tacos. When the fish tacos came they smelled very fishy and tasted weird. I sent those back after taking a bite out of one taco. The food was still on the bill. I asked to speak to the manager who was also very rude and showed poor customer service skills. She insisted that the burger was not pink and stated that I ate the tacos which, I did not I took a bit and sent it back. She stated that she was not going to argue with me about the situation as the chef did not see the problem with the burger. I stated that there was nothing to argue about as I am the customer and I’m not the only one who saw that the burger was pink. After that she removed the charge from the bill. Also, they added gratuity to the bill for 4 people without stating that gratuity would be add for a group of 4 or more when the reservation was made. It does not seem black people are treated with respect here. I will not be a customer at this establishment again and have informed friends not to patron this establishment either. I will take my money where it is wanted. The manager needs to go back to the basics of customer services training. She did not even provide her name when she came to the table either, with her nasty attitude in tow. I would like to say that the young man who was the host was very polite, helpful and kind. Definitely need more people like him on your staff. Oh and I do have food poisoning from the burger they claimed to have cooked...

We had heard good things about this place, so as we were passing by... The parking lot is a twisted unmanageable mess - we ended up parking across the street. I should have known then to leave.
Atmosphere was kind of congested and noisy so we sat outside.
The food was mediocre - at best. It was fine, but I was really hoping to be impressed by the "ground short rib" burgers. None of us were, however - and for $13 and up, I think one should be. The sandwiches came out 1 and 2 at a time - it was a little weird waiting an extra 5-10 minutes for #s 4 and 5 to get arrive. One of my group got a cocktail - when we asked if there was indeed any alcohol in it, the server shrugged and said she would ask, but we never got an answer. The wait staff was fine, however the Drake do adhere to that most insulting of practices - assigning me a 20% gratuity, also referred to as 'SVC Charge'. At least they figured it based on the pre-tax total! I get it, I work in the city and see bad tipping all the time - but assuming is a bit offensive. You are setting up large parties(assuming 5 or more) for fails and no consequences. Could I have made a stink and signed off for less than was no the bill? Sure, but it wasn't the young lady's fault for this inane policy.
She was good enough for a standard 20%, but if she had really hustled, answered our questions, and went the extra yard - there is a reason to tip higher. But if you assume 20, that is all you're going to get. But you won't get it...
Read moreMy friend and I tried this restaurant last night for the first time and the food is amazing as well as pricing. I would have given 5 stars had it not been for our server Bill. We arrived around 9:15 after calling to see what time they closed (advised last seating is 1030). We ordered a variety of appetizers, which is typical for us when trying a new restaurant for the first time, which went smoothly but felt rushed. I brushed it off, but nonetheless we the waiter returnd about 10 minutes later and tried to tell us at 935 that the kitchen was closing and we could not order entrees. I knew this was untrue so I asked another waiter about closing time and they were just as perplexed as were as to why he would say this. Needless to say the manager came over and took our order and apologized to us. The service otherwise was excellent and the service recovery by management even better. I believe the waiter was profiling us and assumed we wouldn't pay or tip because honestly I can't figure out any other reason he would lie in that manner and even became upset we questioned him. This was not a reflection of the restaurant clearly but he needs to be trained better. We dine out weekly at high end restaurants as we can afford to do so so this was offensive. Definitely eat here. We will be back, just...
