Wanted to give this place a try since it opened pretty recently, but it was honestly a disappointment from start to finish.
Pros: -Big screen
-Mechanical Bull (not running)
Cons: -We tried ordering the beer tower listed right on the menu. The server told us they don’t have beer, only cocktails for the tower. Huh? It’s a bar.
-So we ordered single beers instead. The ones we got were warm, clearly poured from cans, and they were already out of multiple options — including Dos Equis — on a Thursday night at 7pm???
-The artichoke dip appetizer was actually okay flavor-wise, but they served it with maybe ten chips total, and the chips were stale. We had to ask for more, and they told us it would be an extra charge.
-To top it off, something was going on near the bathrooms the entire time we were there. Apparently, a girl locked herself in and was throwing up. Staff couldn’t get the door open for over 30 minutes. Instead of handling it discreetly, the whole thing became an awkward distraction for everyone nearby.
Safe to say this place is the biggest red flag in the Addison area. Overall, it felt disorganized, understocked, and poorly managed. For a brand-new spot, you’d think they’d be trying harder to make a good impression. Definitely won’t be...
Read moreWe were invited to the soft opening of Landmark Bar & Grill, and overall it made a solid first impression. The space has an upscale sports-bar vibe—bright, energetic, and lined with TVs in every direction. It already feels like the kind of place that’ll be busy once word spreads.
The menu offered plenty of variety, and the food was good across the board. The trashcan nachos made for a strong start—loaded, shareable, and exactly what you’d want to pair with a drink. I ordered the steak-bite sliders, and honestly, they need to come off the menu. Mixing steak and sliders doesn’t work—the texture and flavor just clash. Either go all-in on proper steak bites or stick to classic burger sliders.
The drinks were great, especially the Watermelon Cooler —cold, sweet, and perfectly balanced. Service was friendly and upbeat, with only minor wait times for food and drinks, which is impressive for a packed soft opening.
Overall, Landmark has real potential. The atmosphere is fun, the drinks are excellent, and once the menu is tightened up, it’ll be a great spot to watch a game or meet up...
Read moreLandmark offers a generally great atmosphere and excellent service. Our experience was a mixed bag of highs and lows, which gives the restaurant some room for improvement, but the core dining experience is very strong. The service was a highlight; our server was attentive, and management made a point of touching the table and checking in, which is a great touch. The wings were the best thing we ordered, they were flavorful and well cooked. On the food side, the burger was a letdown. It was notably not juicy and lacked appealing flavor. The side of fries were disappointingly thin, resembling skinny sticks, a detail that was not noted on the menu. A more concerning issue was observed in the kitchen. A cook with red hair was seen repeatedly scratching her head and touching her nose and face while wearing food handling gloves. This is a serious hygiene concern that management should address immediately. Overall, Landmark has excellent potential thanks to its atmosphere and top tier service, but there needs to be a significant improvement in the quality of the main dishes and...
