Summary: Wonderful food, excellent service, upscale feel without the upscale pricing.
I went here with my parents who were visiting from out of town because I like to try new restaurants when I actually do eat out.
Walking in to our table the setting was clean and crisp, with napkins folded into a crown on each of the plates. Waitstaff were also dressed well, wearing black dress pants as well as a black tie over white dress shirt. This gave the interior a much more upscale feel than the prices would suggest.
I am a vegan and had the Yellow Daal which was delicious. (Probably the best lentils I have ever had.) The texture was buttery, the dish was well spiced and savory, with occasional bites of cardamom. The texture of the rice was perfect for the dish.
My father had a shrimp dish which came out sizzling and steaming on a small cast iron dish. The smell of it was wonderful and carried across the table. My mother had a spicy chicken dish which she said she enjoyed.
The staff felt amazingly attentive and enthusiastic during service. We were repeatedly checked in on to see how we felt about the meal. However there were only a few other tables being served so this might change if the restaurant were busier.
The only part of the restaurant that didn't sell the experience is the building, but don't be fooled by the exterior. This is a wonderful gem of...
Read moreIf you are looking for some legit authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine, please stop by and get your tastebuds blown off! The staff were friendly, the place was casual with a fancy flair. It's hard to describe so just go there and you'll see what I mean. Gibi Manchurian was one of my favorite dishes. Imagine this deep fry cauliflower in a spicy sauce and then experience the slight crunch on the perfectly cooked cauliflower, and then you're bamboozled by this sauce that starts out firey and then cools out and sweetens up, only to hit you back in the face with a last minute spicy punch. Then you get to enjoy some bowls of rice. No this isn't sticky rice, it's legit. Man I could eat a bowl all by itself. We had Butter Chicken, Goan Shrimp Curry. A super Creamy and Devine dish was the lamb Korean. OH geez I just gave myself chills. It really was good. But topping my list, surprisingly, was the Navaranta Korma. Essentially it's just mixed vegetables in a Creamy sauce, but hotdog, if I didn't eat the entire bowl. Well not the entire thing because the portions are healthy. And oh man I had an experience. It was a flavor bomb. I'm pretty sure I'll dream about that dish...
Read more(UPDATE): Went back here once and was kinda disappointed, food didn't have the same or much flavor or love as the first time I went. Heard some other people say the same. Gonna go again eventually, hope it was just a fluke.
What a great place, very nice staff, clean, and amazing food. Went here with another person, I ordered two chicken tikka masala, one aloo tikki, one plain/ one garlic naan and one mango lassi. First of all the tikka masala was the best I've ever had and I've eaten a lot of chicken tikka masala. The aloo tikki was good, it was a tad spicy not much and a bit bitter tasting but still good. Next is the naan, perfect naan, just delicious. The lassi was good, though it was a tad watered down from what I tasted comparing it to others I've had. And the rice, I'm not sure if it was basmati or jasmine it might have been something else but it was good (for the owner, if it's not Jasmin or basmati, I highly recommend changing it to. One more thing about the lassi, I recommend serving them slightly room temperature, it makes it taste and go down much better.)
Overall it was a great experience, will definitely be going back soon. Thanks for...
