Alaskan King Crab at Woadie's South East Seafood 🦀 Crab again?? Hell yeah, we're in Alaska, why wouldn't we make the most out of our trip here and eat local seafood and explore the surrounding nature? Food was great, but also expensive. Compared to Tracy's King Crab Shack from earlier in the trip, the crab wasn't as good, but there were a lot more options to choose from at Woadie's! Overall, the rating is about the same, a 7.8/10, as the meal was slightly cheaper, there were more options, and the options were great, but the crab quality wasn't as good! My personal favorite of the meal was the Halibut Ceviche 🐟 #crab #seafood #norwegiancruiseline #alaskanfoodies #norwegianencore

I brought in a sealed 1.5 oz bottle of alcohol that I had taken out of my bag for a few seconds, along with a kombucha, while I was rearranging my things. A staff member came over and said, “You have 10 seconds to put all the alcohol away” in a really condescending and rude tone.I wasn’t aware of the policy, but I had no issue following the rules. I calmly let him know the kombucha wasn’t alcohol, but he continued to be rude and defensive, repeating that the other bottle was alcohol even though I was already putting it away. I was simply trying to clarify to avoid any confusion not argue.

Even after the bottle was put away, he came back. The second time was because he overheard me explaining what happened to my group and unnecessarily chimed in . He also came back a third time, he then approached my 10 year old brother and harshly told him to “stop ruining the garden”. I understand correcting behavior but the way he spoke to him was completely inappropriate especially with his parents on the other end of the table. A child can’t defend themselves, and there’s no excuse for being rude to guests let alone a little boy.

No one ever came by to check on us or make us feel welcome. He only approached to scold. If this business cares about customer experience, they should retrain their employee on how to speak to people with...

Woadies South East Seafood in Skagway Alaska on 4th Ave st and State St.(main tourist st.) Was the best casual outdoor dining. The eating area was well enclosed and had heaters on. Our previous outdoor dining in Juneau was good, but the food and atmosphere were more peaceful and better here. I was able to continue enjoying the beautiful scenic views with a nice atmosphere. Tourist dining restaurants on State St. were very busy, crowded, extremely loud with music and chatter, and had to wait to go in. Woadies is run by a Military Navy Veteran. You just walk up and order, they bring the food to you. Prices and food were excellent and less crowded. The market price for King Crab was lower than restaurants. Service was great, and the Bullwhip sauce is unique and delicious. The Cod fish and fries were excellent. The 1 lb of King crab also came with fries. We managed all the fish, King crab, and as tasty as the fries were, we couldn't finish. My husband enjoyed a local brewed beer owned and run by a Military Marine Veteran. I bought Woadies sauce to bring home, and my husband purchased the Woadies beer glass. Great souvenirs. Would definitely visit again! God Bless and Thank you for your...

Woadie’s is the kind of place that just nails it — fresh, flavorful seafood, a welcoming vibe, and a feeling that you’re part of something special the moment you walk in. The fish is perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the crab is sweet and rich, and the fried salmon sandwich is downright addictive — crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with taste.

And then there’s Woadie himself — the funky guy with the dreads working the window. His bright personality and boundless charisma tie the whole experience together, making you feel instantly welcome. He has a way of reminding you that we’re all woadies here, sharing good food and good times.

The atmosphere is relaxed but full of life — you’re not just a customer here, you’re part of the crew. It’s the kind of spot where you can roll in hungry, share laughs over incredible food, and end up feeling like you’ve made a few new friends along the way.

Woadie’s isn’t just a meal — it’s an experience. It’s about great flavors, good company, and that rare sense of belonging that keeps you thinking about your next visit before you’ve even...
