Roger's Restaurant — Restaurant in Albany

I had no idea what we were missing until visiting Roger's for the first time. They were very busy, and I didn't realize that they had parking in the back of the building. They have an entrance door on both sides of the building, so you don't have to walk in the elements or all the way around to go inside. They also have clean restrooms down the hallway. I absolutely love the nostalgic atmosphere.

I noticed the sign when we first walked through the door that alerts customers to choose their own seating. I love when restaurants allow you to sit wherever you're comfortable. We chose a booth over by the window. The waitress came over and greeted us. She promptly brought our drinks while we looked over the menu, and she was patient while we were trying to make a decision on our meals.

The portion sizes are more than enough. I will definitely order the 1/2 portion next time. It was far too much for me to eat. The biscuits were fluffy, gravy had a great flavor. The hashbrowns and eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon was amazing, and we received 4 slices of bacon. We left full and satisfied after enjoying breakfast at Rogers. On any free Saturday my spouse and I share, Rogers is our go-to restaurant, hands down. We're especially fans of their omelets and chicken friend steak, though the rest of the menu has been knockout after knockout as well. We absolutely adore the food here, and portions are always excellent; I usually have to take a box home for the rest, and it rarely makes it that far. On top of that, we barely have time to speedrun half of a crossword before our food arrives. Even if speed isn't of importance when dining out in my opinion, it does rather impress.

Furthermore, the service is sublime, and even when it's busy, the staff there is always friendly and helpful with extra creamer, condiments and the like. I've never come here, or left, with any worries about my experience. It's not at all surprising to me to see how many stellar reviews Roger's has gotten. I went on a date here the other night with my partner who has been going here since they were little. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a welcoming retro American diner appearance. The staff is playful, kind, and very attentive. I know we're just two of thousands of customers but staff made us feel special and seemed to really enjoy taking care of customers. The food is fantastic. My partner got a Philly cheese steak and I got the biggest pancakes I've ever seen and biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next day. We split a slice of apple pie and a scoop of icecream to top it all off.
