First time the meat on my burger was almost red it was so uncooked. Took it back, the manager wasn't very nice but replaced it after having to wait 15 minutes for the first order than another 15 for the remade burger. Second time about a month later, the same thing. Waited in line for over 20 minutes. Get home sit down to eat and again the burger was very uncooked. So again had to drive back for the manager to be very short and not even apologize for it. Waited another 25 minutes for the remade burger, whole time I sat in the lane watching that my remake sat on the counter in the drive-thru for over 10 minutes when the manager said she would bring it out to me personally. Did not happen of course. THAN, today I ordered there thinking it wasn't close to closing time maybe it would be different. Get home and AGAIN my burger was not cooked. Went back but forgot the receipt, explaining it was the third time and the same manager had helped me the week prior. She was very rude, didn't apologize, or even look at the food I brought back. Made a call to another manager. Never said a word to me. I had to have someone bring the receipt back to me, to show her since she made such a big deal about it. Even after showing the receipt she still didn't say a word to me. Waited for over 25 minutes. While she completely ignored me. Finally I asked to speak to another manager. He apologized after I explained everything that had happened and gave me my remade order. I opened it and checked the burger right in front of him. And again it was uncooked. He again apologized, finally gave me a refund, which should have already happened prior. Than gave me a new burger. This time it wasn't uncooked. But OVER cooked and almost burnt. I was so frustrated and done I already lost my appetite. I have never had this experience at any other locations. This one is close to home, thankfully considering all the back and forth driving I have had to do for their mistakes. One time I can understand. But four times and even a remade one. When I got to the menu to order I was polity welcomed and asked to wait 4 min pass no cars move still 5 cars in the drive threw, I decide to go to chick fil a next door. Pull in to chick fil a at 0701 my order was placed by 0702 and left chick fil a at 0702 and 50 seconds. I look at blake's again, 4 of the 5 cars are still waiting. This blake's location has a reputation on base to be the slowest in town. I understand making food fresh and how it works but growing up as a native New Mexican I have been going to blake's my whole life and they were never this slow.
Update 03272020 With all that is going on I thought lets give this another try, 03252020 lunch The air thick with anticipation, as I am pulling into the parking lot I can noticeably see the vehicles that are waiting in line to place their order is moving fast, a clear enthusiastic voice comes over the mic, as I hear the order being placed in front of me, did he just confirm the order up sale bacon and cheese, and ask if the customer would like his tomatoes and onions grilled for free for a more delicious berger? With the upsale he also included the price difference before the customer was able to choose their answer. Wow what a difference this experience was, the same happened to me I pulled forward waiting an appropriate amount of time for my fresh food, and yes this was a 180 from my last experience. I get waiting for fresh cooked food but also being a chef for a larger portion of my life I can say even fresh with a cooktop like you guys have, 10 min at most should be the longest anyone waits. on this trip I would 100 percent recommend this location for a meal. It's VERY clear that they make a ton of these in advance, allow them to sit around all morning until a customer arrives and then they toss them out the window. These burritos are mostly filled with uncooked hash browns and strange oily cheese. If you order one with bacon the bacon tastes old and undercooked and so full of chewy gristle that you end up spitting it out. If you ask for chile you get a small little spoon full that will take up one bite of the entire burrito. Now, let's talk about the staff....everyone at this location seems to hate their lives. No one smiles, no one says thank you, everyone I've interacted with here has a blank dead stare on thier face. Every single time I've been here the people working the drive through only say "what do you need?" like a dying robot. No "welcome to blake's" or "how can I help you?" or even a "have a good day" after they toss the bag out the window. The customer service here is disgusting and disrespectful and the quality of the food reflects that. I don't know how this location has stayed open as long as it has.
