If I could give them a negative rating I would!!!

We have been going here for years, especially during the river of lights. You can call it a tradition of ours. However, that will never happen again. Before school started we asked the kids where they wanted to eat to celebrate the back to school season. They chose Little Anita's. We went, were seated next to a broken window, on a table that was rocking back and forth. Our waitress noticed but didn't care she even watched my husband get down and try to adjust it and just walked off. We didn't complain, just went on with our meal. We had a spill and began using the little napkins we had to clean it and she again noticed but said nothing, walked off and didn't offer any assistance. My husband had to find another staff and ask for a rag. She came and cleaned it and was very nice. Our waitress was very unpersonable and could care less about serving us. The food came out and was not the same good quality we were expecting and looking forward to, we noticed the lettuce was brown, guacamole was brown and the chili was just spilling all over the sides of the plates and it was just a mess. Our waitress aside from bringing the food didn't come back, not for refills not to check in, just no service. By the time we got the check, we noticed that they helped themselves to a very generous $35 tip as an added gratuity. They stated our infant son counted at the party over 7.... We said no and felt a $15 dollar tip was more than generous considering the lack of service we received.

Much to our surprise two days later when we checked our bank, we noticed they added an Additional $10 tip to the final ticket and didn't charge us the amount we signed for, it was 20 dollars more than we authorized. They fraudulently changed our authorized amount!!!!

We called them to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they weren't aware. Come to find out it was a manager who did the transaction !!!! And she was horrible on the phone and stated to him that "if he wanted the money back, he would have to come in and take it from the waitress his damn self." they never apologized, they never made any effort to correct it. Luckily our bank did identify it was fraud and corrected it on that end but the restaurant refused. It was unbelievable and the lack of professionalism and customer service was beyond appalling.

We will never go back.

Would highly recommend never using a card here because they made it very apparent that they will help themselves to your account and see nothing wrong...

Worst plate of Latinfood I have ever eaten in my life. I will say that i didn't seem fond of new mexican quisine altogether. I am from deep south Texas, so it's a tough comparison. Now I ordered the cheese enchiladas, with green and red sauce at my father's recommendation. I will also admit we were the last customers of the night. The red sauce came straight out of a gebharts can, and was ice cold, my whole meal was pretty much ice cold. And then the canned nature of the sauce covered up the taste of the rest of the meal. I would say nothing seemed cooked well enough, it was really a disappointment after driving for work all day to have a plate of slop like this. And it did look like slop, I worked on a ranch for 6 years, trust me. IF we were in the RGV, this place would have been open til 11pm, and those meals would have come out sizzling on plates, with a tastetful amount of sauce, not drowned in it. The staff was nice enough, but you could tell they had checked out an hour ago. The sopapias were wonderful, but honestly the first bite of my tragic entree, and then having to choke it down, made finishing anything else tough. I will reiterate that I had breakfast at "The Range" the next morning, and also found it kinda meh. There seems to be this want in new mexico to just drown your food in sauce, and if you don't it's just blah. I did like whole beans and such, but I dunno, I am just not a fan of this style of latin quisine, I love Tex Mex. All that being said, don't drown your meal in so much canned sauce i can't tell what it is. If you are open until 9, make sure there is someone in the kitchen until then, or after, make sure your food comes out hot. Ice cold, unmelted cheese, in my cheese enchis isn't really cool. Good beans and rice I guess. I don't intend to ever eat here again, I hope to find a good tex mex place to eat at when I am there. It seems that just because it's in the name, they don't really know how to do the quisine right. This was also like $20 a plate, I was completely shocked, they couldn't even spring for Old El Paso Taco sauce. As another reviewer pointed out, the salsa is OEP as well. Place is kinda a joke. I didn't even take my food to go, and I hate...

I have been eating at Little Anita's my entire life, specifically this location. It USED to be the best location! Taking my family from out of town this morning was the WORST experience we could have had! We sat down around 925 we didn't get our drinks ordered until 1015 the waitress was very slow and spaced out during the entire visit. When my mom requested she get some help being that our table was for10 they rudely told her "We're short staffed". The main manager was going around giving coffee refills and HE asked if we needed anything else and we had plenty that we needed because our waitress kept forgetting to being any and everything we asked for. Turns out he wasn't listening either because he only brought 1 item my sister in law requested so when she reminded him of the side of green chile he very rudely asked our entire table if we needed anything else like we were taking up his time!!!!! I paid $170 for my family to be treated horribly!!!!! Never did I think a MANAGER would react that way. When he returned my sister in law let him know she didn't appreciate him being rude about the situation and we let him know that we had already asked for those specific sides 3 separate time NOT including when it was ordered! He let us know they WERE NOT short staffed they chose to not provide her help because she only had 3 tables....... which left us even more stunned that it took us so long to get our DRINKS and even longer for our table to get chips and salsa. I will NEVER enter into Little Anita's again! This experience has made it very clear that management has not a care how their customers are made to feel. I never requested a discount, I never requested to have money off, I never requested anything from them other then good service. As horrible as we were treated a large tip was left and everyone's plates were paid at FULL PRICE! I wouldn't suggest Little...

NO OUTDOOR DINING! I specifically did a Google search for outdoor dining and it's incredibly disappointing to be lied to. During a pandemic, it makes zero sense to not have your outdoor dining available. Furthermore, Covid has run the staff down. Upper management (A thin older gentleman with glasses) is snapping at the staff to the point I became uncomfortable. He is very unwelcoming and cold. There is a beautiful outdoor dining area we asked about and he scoffed at us for asking to eat outside during a pandemic. His reasoning for outdoor dining being closed, "We can't hire enough staff." Truthfully, based off of what I saw I don't want anyone to work with you, Sir. I felt for the staff- they put on their happy smiles but if you sit back and watch, their faces tell a very different story. The morale is low and the management, especially the older man snapping at staff makes it difficult to work there and enjoy the meal. The food disappointed me too. In the past, I enjoyed the food, but this time everything was bland. If things stay this way I don't see this location lasting. To the wait staff and front-end staff, you don't deserve to be treated this way for a minimum wage or less or tips! That behavior is unacceptable in the workplace.
