Weck's Breakfast & Lunch — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Having moved to Colorado 3 years ago, from New Mexico, Wecks is one of our go to's for food. We understand that they're always busy, because the food is great, and probably even more so on Sundays, because of the after church rushes. We also understand we had a big party, so that also takes more time. We were told it would be a 25 minute wait for breakfast. There were numerous customers that showed up AFTER we did and got seated before us. Again, we were a big table so we remained patient and waited almost an hour to be sat. Once we were sat, we did get our drink orders taken. The server did let us know she would be back to get our order in a few minutes, but after more than 30 minutes of waiting, we did mention to a different server that we had been there awhile. Again we were trying to be patient, but at this point we didn't know what was going on as we hadn't seen our server. She didn't come out to let us know anything, or give us refills, until after we brought it up to the other server. She took our order, and we didn't get our food until 230. We were one of the last tables to leave, and watched every other table that was smaller come and go. We saw people that arrived after us get their food and leave. We did ask to speak with the manager because the babies at the table were hungry and we wanted to ask if they would be able to eat first, but no one came to talk to us... the lack of communication by the server was frustrating and the fact that we couldn't find her to ask for the babies food first, and then asking for the manager to ask the same thing, and not get anything is what was upsetting during this experience. Had she just communicated and let us know they were running behind, or busy, and that it would be an hour before wed get our food, we would have understood but we were just...

So, both times I've ordered from here have been takeout/delivery orders. I have not dined in at this location so I cannot comment on that. The food has been disappointing each time. The first time I ordered, I got "chocolate chip" pancakes. It was just regular pancakes with chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Every other restaurant I've ever been to and ordered chocolate chip pancakes has the chocolate chips mixed throughout the pancakes. I was extremely disappointed with this considering the price I was paying. The other food on the order was accurate but worse quality than what I make at home, which defeats the purpose of ordering food in my opinion.

I decided to give them another try with a different menu item today. I ordered french toast. Now, I know different places will make them a bit differently but these were hands down the worst French toast I've ever had. The microwave French toast sticks you get at the store have a better texture and taste. I made French toast from scratch yesterday and it was better than what I received in my order. If I'm going to be paying for someone else to make food, instead of making it myself, it needs to be at least on par with homemade food. The other item I ordered was a waffle, which again, was not as good as food I make at home.

I'm giving them 2 stars because the food was accurate, but the taste and quality were not good...

Upon entering the Coors/Fortuna location in Albuquerque, NM, my wife placed her name on the wait list for a party of two. She was informed the wait time was around twenty to twenty five minutes, so we waited. It is Mother's day so we expected a wait time. After thirty minutes we came inside to wait and inquired on the wait time, to which we were told it was fifteen to twenty minutes, so we wait some more. Thirty minutes passed, we're still waiting, at this point it has been an hour and ten minutes, I inquired on wait time and was told it's going to be another twenty minutes. When I told the hosts that I was told that thirty minutes ago and have been waiting for over an hour, she told me it is because it's Mother's day. We were seated at a table and waited for someone to acknowledge we were sitting there. After ten minutes, Marcus greeted us, asked if we had been waited on by wait staff yet and took our drink order. As I'm writing this, we have been at your establishment for almost two hours and have yet to receive our food. We are no longer going to done in this location. This is the worst experience we have had at this location. What a way to celebrate the holiday for my wife, waiting and more waiting. ...
