I went through the drive through tonight to get some fries because I love Whataburger fries (in addition to Whataburger Ketchup!!!). I asked "How fresh are your fries" and was told "Our fries are always fresh." I drove out for fresh fries tonight so I gave Mr. Wiseguy a try. I would have appreciated an honest answer but whatever. I have no problem waiting for fresh fries, but how am I supposed to wait for my crispy, yummy fries when the tall white man with an orange-brown mustache seemed insistent on his "always fresh" fries? Then, while I was waiting on my fries (which only drove up false hope that I would actually get good fries), three other employees took their turns at the drive through window to see the customer that asked the ridiculous fresh fries question. Mr. Wiseguy kept staring at me with an arrogance that was truly annoying. He didn't seem afraid of anything, so I assume he was the manager that night (so sad).
Anyways, I finally got my fries. I immediately popped one in my mouth. Soggy and lukewarm. Angry, I pulled into the parking lot to get a refund. Then my passenger said "Hold on, the bottom ones are hot!" I ate a bottom one. Hot, yes, crispy and yummy, no. Maybe these fries are this location's version of fresh fries. I know from experience that Whataburger fresh fries should not taste like McDonald's fries that have been sitting out on the kitchen counter overnight (except that they are hot). I am still so disappointed. I will never come back to this Whataburger. Avoid this Whataburger and drive a little further to the next one, or if you must eat immediately, there's an In-N-Out right down the street, along with a McDonald's if you're into that.
Bottom line: don't piss off people who are serious about their fast-food, late-night fries. Can somebody call...
Read moreBeen coming here for more than 6 years on a fairly consistent basis of once every 2 weeks at least. On Monday of this week I went in. It was during a lunch rush so I'm trying to be understanding of my experience. The problem is that my Monday's experience was what I experienced the last 2 times prior. Food was good...when it came. One person taking orders at the counter. Took 17 minutes to have the opportunity to place my order. When I came in, there were 6 people ordering ahead of me. When I finished my order, there were 7 people behind me. Still only one person taking orders. I sit inside to eat. The tables were not cleared or cleaned. Food, napkins, soda and water spills, ketchup spills from falling packets even right near the order counter. The place was just not clean. Granted it was busy which means this can't be normal for them all the time, and maybe just my bad luck of hitting the same experience the last 3 times. As far as clearing and wiping tables when you guys are in the weeds, how about this- when you run an order out to the table, take your sanitizer rag (or diposable one- whichever you may use) out with you and bus at least one table on your way back? It took 21 minutes from order time to food arriving at my table. If you need a quick lunch run, you may want to skip this place during the 12p-1p hour? Or, until they can staff that hour a little better to handle the business that seems to be there each time I've gone recently. I don't have ill wishes for them, just sharing my experience. People in much higher pay grades than mine should be the ones taking raw feedback and looking at their business operations that generate customer experiences such as mine to decide if they want to make...
Read moredo not come here if you're a minority. i was just here and usually i have no problem walking into a lobby full of people, especially during a rush however there was no rush. and if you call whatever they were doing in the back work + around the store? you are god awfully mistaken. to my understanding there's usually supposed to be someone on lobby or at least someone assigned so front counter take outs can be done upon the time lobby opens, yes?? so, explain why the woman on lobby was bagging. i have no problems with that HOWEVER, there was one more woman wiping trays in the front lobby. she not only looked me up and down but proceeded to CONTINUE wiping said trays. i work in fast food, im a manager. i know for a fact you must yell or physically go get the front lobby cashier if they have guests dining in/taking out or even doordash. i know most fast food restaurants dont follow the same procedures as others but im well aware of the basics that they share and with this, i wanted a word with the manager on duty. manager to manager. i attempted to look for them and found them in the back, on-line. why was he on-line when he was fully staffed? even if its just for observation, im sure this manager must know to stay well within the field of vision for the customer and employees BUT, thats neither here nor there. (: if you like whataburger, i know plenty that welcome anyone.
ah, i should probably mention this location has a habit of missing small side orders & never getting them for you, i remember ordering an apple pie as my last item however 😉 it wasn't there! 😇😇😇 i asked for my apple pie and i was completely ignored! 💓💓💓 to the district manager of this restaurant, if this ever gets to...
