El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Allen

April 22, 2025. I've eaten at the Richardson location several times. This is my 1st visit here. Jewett greeted me, and took my order. I had the Tuesday 2 for $5 taco special. (1) Chicken Avocado & (1) SP Taco Carbon with Salsa Fresca & Avo Salsa. They were delicious. I visited with the Manager Yudith. Thank you very much for the 2 Churros. Yudith & Jewett were both courteous & professional. Excellent customer service! I'll be back! APRIL 29 UPDATE: Jewett & Yudith were both here again. I had the same Tuesday special as last week: 2 tacos for $5. I also had the Orginal Pollo Bowl for $5. Everything was good again. Jewett helped me use the $3 off $10 or more QR Code from the receipt survey I took from my last visit. Thank you again! MAY 6 UPDATE: I installed the app. Sophia took my order. Sandy helped with the $3 off $10 or more QR Code from the receipt survey. I enjoyed the same bowl & 2 tacos. It was wonderful again. Also, a positive shout-out to everyone in the kitchen, including Yudith & Gabriela. JULY 13 UPDATE: Elijah greeted me and took my order. I had the Original Pollo Bowl. Even though I came in late at night near closing time it was very good. I also had a couple minutes to visit with Elijah, Jewett, & the Mngr. Kilmar V. AUGUST 4 UPDATE: Yudith & Jewett both helped me. I got a $5 Original Pollo Bowl which is always good, + 2 Churros for dessert. Thank you Yudith! SEPTEMBER 9 UPDATE: Jewett took my order, and I met Rebeca. Today was National Grilled Chicken Day. I got a BOGO FREE 2PC LEG & THIGH MEAL with the purchase of the same thing. It was all delicious. This is an absolute cluster. Every single experience is unlike the last and I'm not sure why I keep going other than they always seem to mess up my order and owe me something during the next visit. This last time they left out our regular order of chips and guacamole so when we called after we were home and they didn't even give us our receipt they mention they would "give us free" which upset me because we clearly paid for something and its not free. When we returned we mentioned the managers name and asked for the receipt they told us without it they can't honor anything to which I responded that was part of the problem, no receipt was given. After some argument I pulled around at the drive through since the lady talking was questioning clear directions for my order. I ended up have an argument with the lady at the window and explained I can't get something free I paid for and never got. I simply wanted to order the other meal I kept asking for and had money to pay. The manager on duty ended up ringing food up for free and they shoved it out through the window at me. I insisted they ring the food up but they refused. Even with free food I'm so exhausted with the inconsistency of dining at this place. They are a far cry from those in California and should know they lost my business because they are garbage and need to...

I like the fact that you can look over the counter and see all the chicken being cooked right in front of you. The staff was friendly and even though they were out of the avacado salsa stuff on the bar and it was taking longer than expected, one of them thought outside the box and got me a few containers from the drive through section.

We ordered a quesadilla and two two piece combos and it did not take long at all though the combos came out before the quesadilla. Honestly I thought the chicken was going to be bigger but I can't complain that what was served did taste good, was it the best, no but not the worse. The quesadilla was more like a stepped up crunch wrap you would expect from Taco Bell but it was surprisingly filling and was not bad at all. The sides were not bad but again not the worse or the best, more middle of the road.

I can see myself visiting again and possibly bumping this up a star. Their menu has tons of choices and it was just a quick lunch...
