Taco Bueno — Restaurant in Allen

This location may be the fanciest Taco Bueno I have visited and the first I have been to where the employees bring the food out to the table. It was very clean and blends well with the area that it is in.

The employees on my visit was the younger crowd and I won't hold them up to the standard I normally would but the cashier wasn't mean or nasty but very robotic, no smile and seemed like a nervous wreck, could have been his first job ever but he got the order in correctly.

For the bean burrito I ordered I asked them to add lettuce and tomatoes on the inside and when I checked it out to add my salsa there was barely any in there. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the Beef Muchacho Nachos and they were not on par with what you expected, their were not enough chips and it definitely seemed like it was thrown together. The chips we got were inconsistent in taste as both of us noticed stale ones in the bunch.

I was let down at those two points regarding the food, I'll give this location another go another time and may edit this review and add a star. With how fancy it was I just knew the food was going to be awesome, but...

Asked for a fajita steak burrito. Gal behind the register said they didn't have those anymore. When I asked for a fajita steak nacho, she said they didn't have anything with fajita steak anymore. I asked if this was at all Taco Bueno locations (vs just this one) and she said "I'm not sure, I think so." Wow... great training. What was even more odd was that they still had fajita steak items listed in 12+ places on their menu. I would think they would (at a minimum/temporarily) cover the fajita steak items up or put "Not Available" stickers on then or something. Unfortunately, my family got there before me and was already eating, so I just sat there and waited for them to finish so I could eat elsewhere. Then, before leaving I went to the restroom and found no hand soap. This makes it impossible for employees to have good hygiene. Gross. I was glad I didn't eat there, but upset...

The food is pretty good, I like it better than Taco Bell, but this particular location is not clean. I have had flies in my sweet tea three times now.

Why would I give them a chance three times? I've been eating here for years, and only recently did I observe this. I like the food!

At the end of your drink when you open up the cup to get some ice, there was a little fly. That's one time. I didn't see any for a while so the second time after that I saw one in the tea which put me off for good.

The last time I ordered food, I opened the tea to inspect it looking for flies and there were none or so I thought. Wrong! There was a larger tea-soaked fly adhered to the underside of the cup lid. I can attach a picture of it tomorrow because I kept the cup at work but I don't want to add insult to injury.

This restaurant needs to clean up....
