I'm a big fan of Chipotle, but this Chipotle is maybe the worst-managed one I've ever been to. The first gigantic problem is it is always way too warm. How warm? It's so warm that I finally brought a thermometer with me to check the temperature...and it was 78 DEGREES. That's right, 78 DEGREES. (And it must be even hotter for the kitchen staff.) I have complained to the manager on duty several times about this, and every time I get the same response: the manager looks at me like I'm crazy, says "there's nothing we can do about it, it's controlled by corporate," and doesn't even say they're sorry. (By the way, I have contacted Chipotle corporate about this issue, and they agree with me it's way too warm and are also confused why it hasn't been fixed yet.)
As another example of bad management, the water spout hasn't worked properly the entire time I've been coming here. You have to pull it way to the left for any water to come out. I've seen customers unable to figure out to how to get water because just pushing on the water button doesn't work. But when I told the person at the register the water fountain didn't work right, she smiled and said, "Yeah it does! You just have to push it to the left."
(UPDATE: Today I went here and the water didn't work at all. When I asked if they had water behind the counter, I was told "You can buy some bottled water." So I left.)
Want another case of bad management? The staff here had a habit of taking dirty trays from a stack next to the cash register, wiping them once with a dirty cloth, and putting your food on it! I wrote to corporate about this, and thankfully corporate put a stop to it. But I guess the store management didn't have a problem with this.
Finally, I have never seen more employee turnover at a Chipotle than this one. It seems like every 2 weeks there's an entirely new crew. Maybe that's because the management is so bad. One thing constant about all the staff though: they are less friendly than I have ever experienced at a Chipotle. Once in a while you get someone in good spirits and engaging, but generally people don't seem happy to be working there and to be talking to you.
The only reason I am giving this two stars instead of one is that the food is OK. But regardless of the food, I am getting to really hate this place, and at this point I might start driving an extra 10 minutes to a more distant Chipotle just to avoid eating here....
Read moreI have visited this particular Chipotle restaurant more than any other since I live just 3 miles away and it’s the closest one. I have to say that consistently I have experienced subpar service from the people behind the counter - in their sheer lack of inexperience and efficiency in putting together the bowl or burrito ordered or in terms of any semblance of customer service. Today was the pits as I ordered 3 bowls to go and the guy making making my order was SO sloppy! About a month and half ago I saw the same guy and he admitted it was his first day at the job. I had some empathy as I patiently watched him stumble through making my order back then. Back then I was only disappointed at the franchise owner or the manager who put such a rookie on the frontline during dinner rush hour. Today, almost 45 days later, I experience the same guy doing a bad job at just putting stuff into a bowl based on what I was asking. To cap the experience, you guys were out of cheese (for the Nth time when there’s more than an hour left for closing!) and the guac looked stale as it was dark, being left out for too long. He charged me incorrectly for my order ($1 for hot and medium sauce??) and I had to ask and he didn’t know how to take the charge off. And he marked the bowls incorrectly, which I was glad I double-checked before the vegetarian in my house would’ve taken a bite of steak! Jeez!! Also, the ultimate bad experience was when I bit into a RAW PIECE OF CHICKEN in the guacamole that I mixed into my bowl! @Chipotle, is this why you charge me $2.25 for a tiny quantity of guacamole?? Just coz you may randomly throw in a piece of raw chicken?? I am so done with this location and the bad experience of the guac that I AM NEVER EVER GOING BACK to the Haynes Bridge, Alpharetta location of your restaurant. Heck I am going to avoid going to avoid ANY Chipotle restaurant for a while because of the $2.25 tiny quantity or guacamole with a bonus piece of raw chicken that almost made me throw up. Hugely disappointed with this...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 stars I would. I placed a mobile order to pick up in route to home after picking up my 11 year old from school. First the order wasn’t ready on time. Secondly the food was cold when I got home and my 11 yr olds order was wrong. She ordered a chicken quesadilla with sour cream and rice as a side. She opens up the container that a rice bowl normally come in which is labeled chicken quesadilla but it’s nothing but chicken pieces, rice, and a ton of sour cream!! No tortilla in site. She’s a very picky eater and was on the verge of a melt down because she wait s for this all week. The restaurant is a 15 minute drive from my home so I take that mess back to that location and tell them my issue. They “remake” the quesadillas. Lastly, I ask the manager can they remake my bowl because it was cold when I got home and now it’s not going to be fresh because we had to drive back to the restaurant. He told me that he couldn’t and that I could reach out to customer service. He was very dismissive and did not apologize for the mistake. I can deal with someone making a mistake but what I cannot deal with is poor customer service. I would’ve remade the other order as well just because of the huge inconvenience and to please my loyal customer. Because of that, I refuse to eat there again. This isn’t the first mishap that I’ve had with them but I typically overlook it because it isn’t a huge deal. I will go out of my way for another location moving forward. I did reach out to customer service and they refunded my order as well as gave me BOGO reward on the app. I wish I would’ve taken a picture of the slop they tried to...
