This is a newly opened restaurant in the heart of Alpharetta downtown. It's beach themed and they did a great job with the decor. If you don't look outside it feels like one of those beach shack restaurants in Clearwater, Florida.
Food: this was the best part of the restaurant. I heard this was owned by the same people who did Tin Lizzy's so I was skeptical of the food quality but they knocked it out of the park. I had a fish sandwich costing $16 that was comparable to a $30 fish entree you would purchase at a nice sit down restaurant. My wife had one of there bowls costing $11 and she felt it was remarkable. The food is very healthy, tastes great, and was cooked to perfection.
Drinks: they have your typical beers and wines in addition to frozen Rose and margaritas. The drinks we're tasty but cocktails were a bit overpriced in my honest opinion. $4 beer. $11 margarita.
Seating: this place is kinda small with typical high top and booth tables inside. There are only about 10 or less indoors. The outdoor seating is great though. They have about 4 picnic tables with adjustable umbrellas for shade. They also have some Adirondack chairs perched under some beautiful trees.
Parking: none specific to the restaurant but Alpharetta downtown has ample parking within a few blocks of the town square. For...
Read moreNot to sure how this place got such high rating. My wife and I went due to the high ratings and reviews left. Since this was our first time we weren’t to sure if you seat yourself or have to wait to be seated. Well, you order at the front and make sure you walk to the right cause there are menu on the side counter. There are no arrows indicating where to go, they only have a sign above stating order food and drinks. Which if you never been there and there is no one in front of you to follow it’s very confusing. There is very little seating inside. Seems like most of the seating is outside. The food doesn’t come out on plates if you dine in. They still give it to you in a to go container. Sadly, nothing stood out. Our French fries were way over cooked, had no seasoning on the and sadly everything was Luke warm. They didn’t even ask how I would like my burger cooked so if you like yours a certain way…. Well, your out of luck here. To top it off the pickle was disgusting and not sure what the celery swirl was in my wife’s wings (epic fail). We didn’t even go when it was busy. There was “manager” doing work at the table behind us. The empty table next to us wasn’t cleaned cause there was crumbs left on it from when someone else ate there. To say the least we were extremely disappointed and would...
Read moreMy husband and I live very near the town green so we are frequently in Chiringa. This review is more about how Chiringa gives back to the city of Alpharetta than about the food and service although both are excellent. As we sit and watch the people enjoy the green space we also watch people make themselves comfortable using the chairs and tables at Chiringa even when not purchasing anything. We haven’t one time seen anyone from the restaurant ask people to move or make them feel uncomfortable. They provide corn hole games that are often used as a playground by children. Again, I’ve never seen a staff member from Chiringa ask kids to stay off of the corn hole boards. They welcome people to use the restrooms in the restaurant even if not purchasing anything. The owner/management appear to have instilled the philosophy that they are part of the community and want to make everyone feel welcome and looking forward to returning in spite of the extra work for staff to clean up messes left by people or returning chairs to the restaurant that are moved by people but never returned to where they were found. A huge thank you to Chiringa for being invested in the continuing success of our awesome Alpharetta. We are loyal customers and will...
