Hello Fellow Foodies, I’m leaving this review in hopes to help bring awareness to the false advertising in pricing and wording of the menu at “Lapeer “. Let me start by saying, I am a salad customer at every restaurant I go to. It’s what I order, always! When ordering a salad it’s common for a menu to clearly advertise the price of additional proteins someone can choose to add to their salad choice. When looking at this menu, I clearly see an additional add on suggestion made by the restaurant for “cold lobster “ not realizing the 3oz of cold lobster was actually going to be charged $29 additional dollars, which is actually the cost of the “warm butter lobster” advertised on the menu at Lapeer steak and seafood. I found out when the bill came that I was in fact charged $46 for a salad. After bringing this to the waiters attention, I realized nothing was gonna be done about this except allowing me to speak to the manager. When the manager came over without the bill or a menu to discuss the issue, I had to request to look over the menu with the manager and point out the fact, that there was not an advertised priced for cold lobster . The manager insisted on informing me that this is an unfortunate situation because of inflation and what the prices for lobster is. After reviewing the menu a little further with the manager and explaining how the advertise price was misleading, where in fact, there is no advertise price on the menu for cold lobster it would be absolutely impossible for anyone to realize, they would charge an additional $29 on top of the $16 for a salad. The manager refused to remove the lobster and made a slight adjustment to the bill. While the manager was doing that the waiter came over, leaned down to me and said, with an extremely insulting tone “did you really think you would get a salad for $16 with lobster”. Shocked by this approach from the waiter I agreed $16 for a salad with lobster was not what I would be expecting to pay however $46 was not a realistic price either especially considering, there is no advertise price for cold lobster anywhere on the menu so for anyone to be able to clearly understand what they are asking for and what the final price would be is absolutely absurd. Because they refused to address The discrepancy on their menu, I reassured them. I would be leaving this review to help further customers be more aware of the false advertisement they refuse to address. I hope this review helps someone better understand what they will be walking into when choosing to visit this...
Read moreReally disappointed in our experience- or lack of. Last night my husband and I walked in at 6:15- there was no hostess at the front and the bar top was full so we grabbed a high top in the bar area. We sat there for 20 minutes and nobody approached us for service. We were looking all around the whole time, made eye contact with both bartenders and the manager working in the expo line. He was drinking his sparkling water in a hidden cabinet and seemed completely unaware that patrons were being ignored. I suggested we just leave but my husband really wanted oysters so I went to the host stand once again to try and talk to someone, yet still nobody there. Then my husband went and spoke with what we believe was a manager (guy in suit and tie). He had asked him if we could be served there (which we have done many times before with no problem). He said he would send someone over right away. So we waited another 6 minutes after that and still nobody came by. At that point I decided we were done being ignored and left. So unfortunately my family will not be returning or recommending this place to any more of our friends. Hope they can figure out how to do better
Update: after the owners extremely inhospitable response I can confirm that I will never enter or recommend this restaurant. It’s in such poor taste of the owner to place blame on a guest who simply walked into their restaurant trying to spend money and enjoy themselves. If closed for a specific private event they should have people at the front advising incoming guests. Or perhaps when my husband spoke to the manager he could have communicated that. “Assuming” is never something you should do in the hospitality industry, as communication and service is you’re sole way of building your brand. I will share this terrible experience to every person I know in Alpharetta and never return. I would be embarrassed if I was you...
Read moreI had the freshest seafood and juiciest steaks at Lapeer ATL. This was the perfect spot for an elevated date night. They have fresh coastal cuisine from the gulf and east coast and are located next to some of the cutest boutiques and shops. The strip is perfect for taking a cozy stroll after dinner and enjoying waterfall views. I felt like I was enjoying dinner on a resort. The range of cuts of beef was incredible including prime, certified Angus, America Wagyu, and reserved dry-aged steaks. Lapeer also has 10 whites and 10 red wines available by the glass as well as an exclusive cocktail menu with hints of the stirred drinks of the early 20th century like the Vieux Carre - perect to enjoy on the patio.
What I tried at @lapeeratl:
LOBSTER PASTA HOUSE MADE SPAGHETTI, FRESH MAINE LOBSTER, LEMON BUTTER, HERBS The lobster is so tender and the sauce served with the pasta is just chef's kiss The chunks of lobster came out shaped like a lobster. So cute. Loved the presentation.
