This Was the worst dining experience in the history of me going to Darden restaurants. To start we walk in and wait approximately 10 minutes at the table before we were even greeted. Once server came he took drink orders which we ordered from the bar . These drinks took at least 15 minutes to get just our drinks. The entire time we waited we had to listen to a Dog ( non service animal) bark and whine until we informed the manager it was disruptive to our meal. She removed dog that should have Never been allowed to enter the food establishment to begin with. Once we finally received drinks they were half melted and watered down. Ordered waters and took 15 minutes to even get a refill on those. After this they brought us appetizer plates a d silverware I unwrapped the silverware i found a knife that looked like i needed a tetanus shot to eat with. It was covered in litterly rust the appetizer plates were dirty looking like they hadnt been washed at all. We requested a manager. Spoke with Kennedy manager on duty. She offered to pay for our appetizer a nd got us new paltes and silverware. Discounting the fact that it was nasty and the server was not present at all thusfar she assured us this was not going to keep happening. However the bad service continued no drink refills lack of care or concern to us at all as well as several other tables in the general area of where we were sitting. Once we ordered dinner it took seemed like forever to receive food when we did my wife's steak that was ordered medium was entirely over cooked to at least well done. The shrimp were cooked to order and ok . This experience did not get better with informing the manager Kennedy. the server became more distant cleaning and doing things so he could go home like we were invisible . The manager did not seem concerned about our experience either considering. She never corrected the situation other than removing the dog from the restaurant. I will be contacting the health department requarding anmials In a food establishment also will be calling the general manager of that store and corporate reguarding this entire situation. I was expecting a relaxing evening dinner with my wife when this is nothing close to what we received I believe the entire staff of this store is poorly trained and don't care about the customers at all when in fact this customer is the reason they have jobs. Comon Darden you have to do better than this if you expect to get another single dollar from me or my family. I will be skipping ALL Darden restaurants for a while after...
Read moreWe were the last customers, we were "those people" which is awful bc we work at a restaurant so it was really out of character but anyway, we walked in at 9:17, they closed at 10 and we didnt finish and leave til 10:20. No one rushed us. I ordered a drink without knowing anything about it but the name and it was ginormous, I wouldnt have ever ordered it esp that late if I had known so that was just some extra icing on the cake, I felt even worse. i couldnt eat any of my food because I was full from the drink but it was good the next morning and the waitress was super sweet and brought me a large box and little cups for the sauces. My boyfriends food was really good, he got a steak and lobster and the steak was a little overcooked but he still ate every bite. It was his birthday and the waitress wished him happy birthday and didnt make anyone sing or get wild for his birthday, she asked us if we wanted all of that and we declined so I'm sure she would have done the same if it were the beginning of the shift instead of the end, too.. she was just awesome, super thankful we were able to sit down and enjoy a dinner for his birthday bc we work super late a d got off early enough-ish just to be able to try and celebrate, I'm so glad they helped us out by letting us do so even though they were all ready to go home I'm sure. The management thanked us and made sure we were done and pleased. Will be back soon & not so late next time! Wish I caught the servers name!!! I hate that I didnt especially since I'm a server...
Read moreMy husband and I dined at Red Lobster on the first Friday night in Lent (busy time!!). Our hosts were prompt with us and the wait was surprisingly short — though I came fully expecting to wait a while. Our waiter was a ROCKSTAR!! I don’t usually set out to do reviews, but he impressed my husband and I so much. We believe his name was Daniel, from our receipt (he said it at the beginning but we have short term memory loss). He was on the ball!!!! We never had to ask for refills and our food was delicious. He even brought more biscuits without asking. He checked in several times with us to ensure the quality of our experience but was never overbearing. He did NOT drop off our ticket before we were finished eating (a personal annoyance for myself). He took time to ask for details of how we wanted our food and in what order (appetizers, soups, entrees). My husband and I are not high maintenance so these details weren’t important to us, but it did go noticed that he was courteous enough to ask us! Had we had more money within our budget, I would have tipped the guy so much. Since we couldn’t I want to sing his praises on here! This guy is good and when we go back, we will request his section.
Also, this is a side note, but I saw the hosts having to deal with some unpleasant people at times. They handled it gracefully and professionally, which isn’t always easy to do when someone is rude to you without a proper cause.
Way to go,...
