My dearest Bolivian friend introduced me to this restaurant and cuisine. It is unlike any other food I have ever had.
The place has ample parking and the decor is clean and minimal. While we were waiting for the food, the tv had Bolivian music videos playing. The waitress was friendly and prompt.
The saltenas are out of this world. I thought it was going to taste like an empanada but no. It was so flavorful. The crust was this sweet type of pastry almost. The meat was flavorful and there was so much juice from it, almost reminded me of an XLB dumpling. I could have a bunch of these in one sitting if left to my device.
I also had the soup, I can't remember the name but it was quite tasty and they give huge portions of food here. The Sajta was bomb. The chicken was so tender, it melted in my mouth. It just fell off the bone. It tasted so good and with the rice, sauce and potatoes. It was fresh and felt homemade.
I can't say enough good things about the place. I will be back for sure.
I thought I was going to have leftovers, but my husband ate it all as soon as I got home. I...
Read moreI have to preface this with the fact that there are very few Bolivian restaurants in Southern California. So an extra star was added off the top for that reason. Now when it comes to the food, I would say it was just ok. It was tasty and flavorful, but not very authentic. I've been to Bolivia many times and I also have made it a point to try any Bolivian restaurant I can find, so I have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about when it comes to the food. I've been here many times as well and the quality of the food varies. Today the silpancho and the falso conejo were good, but not great. The rice was not the typical Bolivian rice I'm use to, instead it was regular white rice. The saltena was good but small, easily the best part of my meal though. The service was fairly prompt and the restaurant has a nice Bolivian decor and ambiance. The restroom could use a little more attention...but that's not something to skip this place over. Overall, I would recommend this place if you want Bolivian food (mostly due to the lack of other options). The one server was nice and the restaurant is...
Read moreLiterally OBSESSED. I am Bolivian and I haven’t had a salteña since I went to Bolivia for a mini vacation a few years ago. Before then I used to get them in my hometown in New Jersey from a Bolivian lady. These salteñas are the real deal and the BEST that you will find around in the California area. Definitely fulfills my craving! My favorite are the chicken salteñas but both chicken and steak are amazing 😍 I live an hour away and I always make the drive here because they are THAT good. I’ve had la rancherita salteñas and they are good but they don’t compare to Beba’s in flavor and also because they do not offer chicken salteñas, only beef. Also Beba’s salteñas come with a bomb salsita!! Today, I also picked up a la carte, picantè de pollo that comes with arroz, chuño and su salsita and it was bomb! My boyfriend is Mexican and he is obsessed now 😂😂 Sorry for the long review ya’ll but I HAD to let you guys know. I rate these 9/10 Keep doing your...
