I'm not sure what's changed at the corporate level, but this is the 2nd poor experience I've had at another PF Chang's location in as many months and it's very disheartening as this is my absolute favorite restaurant.
Understanding entirely that it is a major holiday and in a tourist heavy area, I was more than willing to wait for my to go order. First, it took over 5 minutes for someone to even arrive at the order counter. After ordering I was quoted 25 minutes which is more than reasonable. I was then given no status updates as 25 minutes came and went. Trying to give them more patience due to how busy they were, I went up to the counter after 40 minutes for an update and was met with a flippant attitude about it and still no update. I would have canceled the order outright at that point if my husband had not been insistent that we just wait for the food since we had already waited that long. After just shy of an hour we finally got our food, with no apologies for the horrendous delay.
I am more than willing to wait for good food, especially when busy. But as a customer I do believe that communication is important. Had they just told me it's going to take a little longer than we thought and been apologetic about it, I would've been understanding. Instead, we were left in the dark and wasted time we could've spent going to another restaurant for full table service. I'm very disappointed at the lack of communication or concern at a location that is usually much better than this. I will not be coming back for a...
Read moreP.F. Chang's is a popular American casual dining restaurant chain that serves Chinese cuisine. It is known for its signature dishes, such as the Chili Garlic Green Beans, Crispy Green Beans, Trio Sauce, Chang's Spicy Chicken, Kung Po Tofu, and Garlic Noodles.
I have been to P.F. Chang's several times, and I have always had a great experience. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed.
My go-to order is the Chili Garlic Green Beans. They are perfectly cooked and seasoned, and they have a great balance of heat and flavor. I also love the Crispy Green Beans, which are also perfectly cooked and have a nice crunch.
The Trio Sauce is a delicious dipping sauce that is perfect for the chicken or tofu dishes. It is a blend of soy sauce, ginger, and garlic, and it has a nice, savory flavor.
The Chang's Spicy Chicken is my favorite entree. It is made with chicken that is marinated in a spicy sauce and then stir-fried. The chicken is cooked perfectly, and the sauce is flavorful and not too spicy.
The Kung Po Tofu is also a great option. It is made with tofu that is stir-fried in a sweet and sour sauce. The tofu is soft and flavorful, and the sauce is delicious.
The Garlic Noodles are a great side dish. They are made with noodles that are stir-fried in a garlic sauce. The noodles are cooked perfectly, and the garlic sauce is flavorful and not too overpowering.
Overall, I highly recommend P.F. Chang's. It is a great place to go for delicious Chinese food in a casual and...
Read moreLo, how the mighty have fallen! I've been to this exact location in Anaheim in 2009, 2013, 2017, 2019, and then now (December, 2023) and the food has gone down SO much. I had the orange chicken and was totally inedible, just a mushy blobs of breading in a bland yellow sauce with no discernible chicken (breast or dark meat, either one). The BBQ ribs were sparse and very fatty, despite a decent sauce. Cocktails were OK. Service was mediocre, with the server paying way more "chatty" attention to larger parties (duh, larger tip). The manager was nice about reversing the orange chicken, but that was it -- should have comped more (appetizer? dessert?) for the fact that the ONE entree I got was inedible. It's corporate's fault, I'm sure, for changing the recipes and not getting sloppy trying to re-formulate their food on the cheap. Well, it didn't work, folks. Do you think we're stupid? No, "absent" is what we'll be from now on. Panda Exress has better food and much faster service, especially for the price. It's not exactly health food; this is supposed to be tasty (if nutritionally bereft) treat. This place won't last long in this competitive area (near Disneyland) at this rate, and they will have done it to themselves. It's Chinese, not Japanese, but this place is committing its own Hara-Kiri, as it has certainly "dishonored"...
