I like this place for the most part and have played board games here a couple times with a group of friends, and purchased some items(an overpriced mini bookcase puzzle set, figurines/mugs) from the front/store portion of this establishment. HOWEVER, today when i was perusing through the store and looking closely at all their items they have for potential gift purchases for my friends, an old asian man (i assume the owner), watched me very intently, as if I was stealing merchandise 🤣. I myself kept making eye contact with him and tried to smile with my mouth closed to let him to know i too could look at him, and to stop staring at me as he was moving himself purposely to keep me in his line of sight. as a small asian woman myself, i found that hilarious but also annoying. alright brother. i didn’t hide from his sight and purposely touched more things in front of him when i very well was ready to leave. but there’s also cheaper things upstairs in the taiwanese market hall if you’re looking for similar puzzles and they come DIRECTLY curated from taiwanese artists themselves 😆. the other younger employee did not stare at me so intently and seriously. i wish i told this man to his face that i wasn’t stealing anything and to relax. instead i just looked at him and said thank you before I left. if you don’t want people looking through your items or touching any part of your store, you might as well put everything behind the glass. or you might as well not have a store 🙂. i’ll probably be back some other time when that middle aged asian man isn’t there. or if he is, i’d probably make sure i move the same exact way i did today. next time he’s going to hear from me in person.

I wasn't sure what to think about this place. It's clean, quiet, and the staff (they may be the owners) are nice. I was walking around looking at the *literally* THOUSANDS of games they have for you to play. Every game I could think of (and I've played a lot of board games) was there, and there were many more that I didn't recognize. I'd come to purchase a very specific game, and while the have a decent selection of games to purchase, that's not their main business. You can pay (a very reasonable) price to sit at a table and play any of the games on hand. The price is per person, per hour. At first I couldn't think of how this might be useful, but on careful reflection, even with 3 friends, and a couple of hours, it's going to cost way less than a meal, or movie. Also of note, you don't need to clean your house, corral your pets, or ignore your kids (joking, mostly). They've got drinks and snacks you can buy, and if you're looking to find the next hit game for your group, the price to sit and peruse the game library to find something appropriate is much lower than buying a game that turns out to be terrible. It's a hard to categorize business model, but the size of their game library, and the low prices, make this worth checking out.

Met up with a couple friends for dinner at Garden Walk and saw this place labeled on Google Maps- I'm SO GLAD that I did! After dinner we went to Meeples Family to play games. They assigned us an adorable little cabana and we selected several games from their EXTENSIVE library. It was such a fun experience. If I were local I'd be a regular for sure. Things to know: Pricing is per person, by the hour. There is a nominal charge for bringing in outside food - We didn't know this in advance or we might have brought our food there rather than eating at CPK beforehand! If there's a game you love, they may have a copy for purchase.

Not a good experience. Perhaps I came on an off day but I doubt it. Seats were uncomfortable. Place was cramped, hot and loud! Groups next to us were screaming and yelling which is fine, but it’s the fact that we were only a few inches away from everyone. Either have more room for people or have noise level policy. I brought my own board game, and really didn’t mind paying the rental fee just for the table but I was there for an hour and fifteen minutes before closing and was charged 2 hours. Which, again i wouldn’t mind if there was any value in it. You’re essentially paying 3$ per person to play on a park bench. Actually worse than a park bench because at least you’d have less noise and more space. On top of that there was ZERO atmosphere no music, decorations, or nice lighting. I didn’t even buy anything and I still felt overcharged, water was $2.50 EACH FOR ARROWHEAD BOTTLES. Didn’t even bother looking at anything else after. This is NOT A CAFE like some reviews claim it’s more like a single fridge with up charged drinks. Definitely not worth your time or money. There are better places that don’t charge to play board games within a mile, and...
