Arden's Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Anderson

I’m from out of town and I found this place through Google. This restaurant is quite a gem as it makes complete sense to me how it has such a high Google rating. I had the Asian burger, fries, and 2 egg rolls and I have to say that it was EXCEPTIONALLY tasty.

The service was also extremely good. In my travels, I’m used to encountering employees who (I think rightfully so) feel completely burned out because of how they’re treated by management. So it was quite pleasant to encounter the frontline worker, Jada, with a warm and professional demeanor. She was an excellent conversationalist and told me that she likes working here because the owner treats her quite well.

The owner, by the name of “Knock”, also helped make this dining experience one of the best I’ve had in a long time. When the owner of any restaurant greets their patrons and puts real effort in their customers having the best quality dining experience they can, that goes a very long way in my book.

The prices here are also amazing. From the quality of the food, to the quality of the service, you could pay 3 to 4 times what you pay here and then MAYBE you can find value as good as this place. I just tried to call the store three separate times to place an order and was put on hold each time the first time I was not even told I was going to be put on hold he just set the phone down and started talking to somebody else in the back. Me and my coworkers are long-standing customers of Arden's and are highly disappointed in the level of customer service we were presented with today. We eat there at least once or twice a week every week for the past few years. And now we have to find somewhere else to find lunch today. I'm curious to know where the lady we normally talk with is at and if the gentleman who answered the phone this afternoon is a new hire or just bad at his job. We love Arden and hate to find somewhere else to eat lunch. But feel we were left with no choice today.

I sincerely hope that the young man who is answering the phones this afternoon is not treating every customer like this. Because if they are then this small business is losing a lot of money. And I would hate to see that. At the very least the man needs a little training and customer service and how to deal with people I understand that at 1:20 on a Friday afternoon they may be busy but you don't put money on hold three separate times. My wife and I were a little weary about this place at first due to the looks of it, but we were welcomed in by the staff and they were amazing! We got the egg rolls and they were delicious! My wife had the Tiger burger and thought it was pretty good, but wasn’t the biggest fan of the Asian mayonnaise used. The fries weren’t crispy, so they weren’t as good as we thought they’d be after reading the reviews. I had the Seoul burger, which had great flavor, but was EXTREMELY spicy! I got it without cucumbers, so I’m not sure if that’s what may have been the issue. I can normally handle a lot of spice, but the burger had a huge kick to it that made me not savor the other flavors as much as I would like. If you really love spicy stuff, the Seoul burger is for you. I’d love to go back and try the Teriyaki burger. Overall, we had a pretty good experience! Our food came out extremely quick, and our overall bill was not bad at all! You do have to watch out for their 3% credit card fee though.
