I have been there twice and twice they screwed up my order.
First time, I thought maybe it was a bad day, but the second time, not only did they mess up part of my order, what they didn't mess up was disgusting.
Just know that when you order a roll, they're using hamburger buns. When you get it toasted, they burn it.
They have twice now forgotten the bacon in a buttered roll with bacon, but refuse to refund me. Even with the receipt and the proof in hand that there is no bacon on the roll, they won't budge. They won't use their eyes and admit they messed up.
My BECSPK was nasty. They burnt the hamburger bun, yet the cheese was cold?! How!
I did like the ham hero that one time though, but why does it cost so much? What are you doing with that money?
This is Ann Arbor, not Manhattan. Get outta here with this ridiculousness. $6 for a burnt hamburger bun with no bacon!
I'm Queens born and bred, so to have two bad visits to a supposedly "authentic" spot is incredibly disappointing, that is not how my city does things. If your spot is bad, you're not going to be in business long.
People, you're better off not wasting your time and money, because they don't...
Read moreThey just send you whatever the feel like. For example, you order a plain bagel? You're getting an everything.
If you want food you didnt order, order from Bodega Bros!
Second edit: I gave them a second second chance and ordered a milkshake and French toast. Milkshake was saran wrapped and then literally tossed in a grocery bag with the food for delivery. It arrived in the condition you'd expect.
Edit to respond: I ordered from uber eats. You could absolutely create seperate options for different bagel flavors(so it the exact same way you made a seperate option for bagels to begin with, just do it again for the othet flavor), or alternatively, just use a plain bagel if thats what you are putting on the menu.
If you think its appropriate that I have to give you a lesson in how selling on uber eats works or that I should just be happy with a random disgusting flavored bagel, idk what to tell you and you obviously deserve...
Read moreI would recommend anyone to at least give this place a try. It's located conveniently downtown and on campus and is easy to drop in and browse or pickup an order. The prices are a bit high, but I think it's about as expected for Ann Arbor at this point and as far as I can tell everything is regularly made fresh and with high quality. I liked the breakfast sandwiches, but I wouldn't say they're the best and I didn't like how they prepared the bacon. I did, however, greatly enjoy some of their lunch sandwiches like the Amy Special and Angelo Special. My absolute favorite thing on the menu has been their Yemeni Oatmilk Draft that was recommended to me by the friendly cashier. The pasta salad was also pretty good. They have so much variety on their menu though that I would be shocked if you can't find at least something you like. I don't come too often due to the pricing but it's nice to come on...
