GameOn bar+arcade — Restaurant in Annapolis

When we heard a new GameOn Bar+Arcade was coming to our neck of the woods in Annapolis we knew we had to check it out! I have been to a few arcade bars in the past and was so excited to finally be getting our own locally. GameOn did not disappoint and far exceeded our expectations.

Upon entry we were greeted by friendly staff and a hearty dose of nostalgia. Kaylene and and Nick took care of us all evening at the bar and never missed a beat all night. They had a wide array of unique beverages and fun arcade style snacks. (We really enjoyed the alcoholic ICE/ Slushee drinks.) All of the staff were up-beat, interactive and helpful.

The games brought hours of fun and a nice change of pace to an otherwise typical evening out. They have a nice variety of options that kept us enjoying for hours. We especially enjoyed the pinball, racing game and 4 person PAC-Man. We were told more games will be arriving soon so we will returning soon so check those out too.

I enjoyed my time at GameOn Bar+Arcade, but found myself not wanting to spend much money on the games. One dollar for a game of skee-ball and pinball was painful (although I do recognize the owner responding to a prior comment about Annapolis making it expensive for businesses to have pinball machines). :( My friends and I spent most of our time out back playing connect four, Jenga, and Cornhole.

The atmosphere was good vibes all around. It has a playful video game graffiti theme. There was always a place to set my drink and all areas were clean. A problem was how small and cramped it was. It was hard to access some of the games with people crowding around them without playing.

A highlight was how kind the staff was. The bartenders were super sweet and hardworking. The drinks were good, although on the pricy side. Definitely opt for the $7 slushies! The adult Capri Suns were fun and tasty but not worth the $11.

Overall, it's a novel experience that I would recommend people go to at least once for the fun...

We held a karaoke birthday party this fall at this location. I worked directly with Casey to get the details lined up and we had an incredible time.

The service was fantastic, both leading up to and during the event (thanks again Casey for answering all my questions!). We were assigned two servers (apologies I forgot who was with us but you guys were great!) during our 3 hour time slot who were checking up on us and making sure we were comfortable in the space.

The space was very reasonably priced and could fit comfortably 20ish people. I'm not certain on the threshold, but over that it would be a little tight. We had 12-14 people and there was more than enough space to sit, stand, etc.

We will definitely be booking in the future. To have a k-bar type space in Annapolis is very unique to the area and a nice little gem. Highly recommend for...
