I think Curate is pretty great on the whole, even if not in every single element. The coffee is not the best in town, but reliably really good, and the real cups are really beautiful. The in-house baked goods are not the most delicious I've ever had, but they are home-made, they taste it, and they reliably satisfy. The menu is limiited, but the hipster sandwich combos are reliably engaging. The wine selection is limited, but intelligently so, and the wine glasses are right on. And the big windows let in the right kind of light, and the decor is undestated cool. I keep going back. I can't think of another place in Annapolis that shows such consistent good judgment and good taste as Curate's owner. So, why not five stars? Well, a little pricey. If you indulge in a cool sandwich, and a glass of wine with lunch, and a coffee plus pastry split with your friend, your weekday lunch will cost you more than you thought. All that good judgment and taste costs them, no doubt, and so you too. Then there's the negative beyond Curate's control: every single street thereabouts now costs to park on, 24/7, and you have to download an Parking App. Well, I'm not uploading my financials to a 3rd-party profiteer's cloud just to get coffee or lunch. But that's me. You might not mind the parking apps or the parking tax...
Read moreA Breakfast Delight Worth Returning For From the moment I stepped into Curate Annapolis Cafe & Bakery, I knew I was in for a treat. Jury duty may not be anyone’s favorite way to spend the day, but the Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich I picked up from here turned my morning around completely.
This wasn’t just breakfast—it was a masterpiece. The sandwich arrived warm, perfectly balanced, and bursting with flavor. Every bite revealed fresh ingredients layered with care: crisp bacon, fluffy eggs, and melty cheese nestled between a pillowy bun. It's evident that the team at Curate Annapolis Café & Bakery pours genuine passion and creativity into their food.
I regret not snapping a photo of this edible work of art, but hunger and time won out over hesitation. Even now, I find myself daydreaming about that sandwich—it’s just that memorable. The staff’s welcoming attitude and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better, a much-needed comfort on a busy morning.
I’ll definitely be back, and I encourage anyone in the area to give this charming cafe a try. Curate Annapolis Cafe & Bakery is a true gem, and their Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich alone deserves every one of the five stars I’m...
Read moreCurate is an absolutely wonderful bakery that my wife and I adore. The owners and employees are laid back and great to chat with, yet super dedicated to making the place outstanding. The bakery itself is amazing, offering some of the best pastries and fluffiest quiche we've ever had. Even as non-coffee drinkers, we enjoy their delicious coffee options.
The place can get busy during the day, but we've found it delightful for morning coworking sessions. One time, they even brought out fresh cookies and handed some out for free, adding a special touch to our visit. Despite living 20+ minutes away and dealing with parking, we're making it a regular ritual to come here.
Their quarterly dinners also deserve a special mention for how fantastically they're set up at a very reasonable price. The whole team obviously puts a lot of passion into what they do, and they'll go out of their way to make sure you enjoy it with them.
We're excited to be regular patrons and look forward to watching...
