It’s Happy National Pizza Month! Which is all of October so I’m sure you’ll see me doing lots of pizza reviews for this month. I heard about this joint opening up not too long ago. And you know me, if I hear about a pizza joint, I got a check it out. Timber Pizza Company is new to Annapolis, but not new to the pizza world. They have other joints located in DC, Arlington and Raleigh, North Carolina. Their’s is a wood fire style of pizza making, and the dough is kind of a blend between New York style and Neopolitan. The pizza oven is huge. And I noticed the fire in the center of the oven and not off to the right or left as most ovens would have. It’s also a rotating stone, and by the time it goes around at least once, it’s just about done, then they hold the pizza for a few seconds check it and then pull it. After we have a good workout we always want some good food. So we were trying to figure out a place to grab a bite and I mentioned Timber Pizza Company. It’s right on West Street in the Annapolis arts district between the Saylor oyster bar and the Hilton Garden Inn. So if you’re traveling and staying at the hotel, you got some good food right around the corner. We ordered the Green Monster, which had a pesto sauce, fresh mozzarella, feta, zucchini, kale and added chicken. We ate it so fast. We had to get another one so we got the Bentley, a red sauce, pizza with provolone and mozzarella blend, cured chorizo, soppressata, Peruvian sweet peppers, house made spicy honey, which was one of their most popular pizzas. We also got the SAMMON salad to share. it was huge! They also have empanadas on the menu, which I’ll have to try next time. I’m there. Even specialty ice cream with homemade waffle, which I also have to try next time. The green monster was great. Flavors were awesome. The dough was crispy, chewy and crunchy thin. The Bentley however, although the flavors were there the center of it was a little bit soft. 😢 They probably just piled a little too much in the middle. But the pizza was still good and full of flavor. Next time I’ll bump it up to five star if the pizza is better. Hint hint! 😋 So if you’re ever in the Annapolis area downtown or on West Street check out Timber Pizza Co, they’re right next to an oyster bar.
It was not too bright in there, so it was hard to get some decent shots. But hopefully you get the general idea. Hope to go back there and do some more photos and videos. Love the joint!❤️ #Pizzajoint #annapolismd...

With locations across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, Timber Pizza is steadily becoming a local favorite, bringing authentic Neapolitan-style pizza to the region. The Annapolis location, nestled on West Street, is especially charming—with its brick façade and large, welcoming bay windows, it feels like a spot that’s always been part of the neighborhood.
Step inside and you’re immediately greeted by friendly staff and the energy of an open kitchen, where dough is stretched, tossed, and topped right before your eyes. At the heart of the space is the showstopper: a hunter green Marra Forni rotating pizza oven, tiled in mosaic and emblazoned with “Timber” in bright orange lettering. The temperature gauge reads 650°F—just right for turning out perfectly blistered, chewy-yet-crispy pies.
Everything is made to order. Once you place your order, the team gets to work—pulling out fresh dough balls, expertly shaping them, and layering on your selected toppings. The pizza is then fired for what feels like a magical 90 seconds before being gently boxed and handed over.
The entire process is fast, fresh, and fun to watch—almost as satisfying as eating the...
Read moreI give 5 stars with some slight hesitation. First of all, the pizza is good. REALLY good. Worth 5 stars good. Crust is a very important component to pizza and Timber meets and exceeds. I have tried the Pepperoni Pizza, the Plain Cheese as well a The Lulu. Delicious x 3. First visit was a great experience. Second Experience, not so much. Rude, rude, rude host. I understand that this location is new and very busy. But, the process for sitting at a table is daunting. Especially when the host isn't friendly. I placed my order at the counter and then inquired about a table. Was told that I was not allowed to sit down because I didn't tell the host FIRST before ordering. I tried to ask what difference it makes. Rudeness follows. "Its too late for you to sit at a table." When I ask why, "I have a wait list" Ok, no problem. We can wait too. "Its too late for you to sit at a table", Ok buddy. Getting nowhere with you. Proceed to wait about an hour for my 2 pizzas. There is no reason why we could not have been added to a waitlist for a 2-seater. PS: There was ONE person on this waitlist. Customer Service is just as important as...
