Josef's Gyros & Kabobs — Restaurant in Appleton

Me and a co-worker of mine placed and order for pick up. We ordered a double cheese burger, fry and also a gyro burger. when cutting into my double cheese burger the burger was completely pink, under cooked but browned on the outside. The burger on the gyro burger was bitten into and then found it was not fully cooked also. I immediately called them they wouldn't pick up so I kept on calling finally a man picked up and said sorry we are closed. I informed him who I was and that I was just there for a pick up order and there are some issues. I explained to him the food was not fully cooked and that the patties on both burgers were pink and under cooked. His response was "what do you want me to do" I stated that we would like the food remade I told him I work in city center and I could come right over he said we have to see the food first before making it over so bring the food. I didn't respond and said Im on my way. I get there give him the food he looks at it and say this one is under cooked but say the gyro burger is acceptable but we will make it over. He had the nerve to ask if we wanted the fries remade also. Why would we want cold fries? I sat there while the food was remade. Had no conversation the rest of the time. I get our fresh food and head back to work. This time I give my co worker her food and I take mine, now my double cheese burger is only a single and the gyro burger is just fine. I called them back they pick right up and he answers this time and says "yes" I informed him who I was again and told him they made me a single instead of a double and his reply was " well the gyro burger was half gone so that's why you only got one patty on your double cheese burger" this was two separate orders here and why would you not give me what I paid for because her burger had a bite taken our of it. This entire experience he was extremely rude and cocky. I asked him for his name and he spelled his name and said " do you want my social security number too?" I told him to work with customers he sure has a very bad attitude. he then told me " well if you have an issue you can call Monday and speak to the owners" and hung up. I immediately called Monday and spoke to a manager because the owners were not in and gave him my complaint he said they will be in later. I then called 3 days later spoke to the same manager and was told they are investigating and they will get back to me once they speak to all parties involved. I WAS NEVER CONTACTED NEVER RECIEVED AN APOLOGY NO NOTHING. After a week I called back and spoke to the same manager and was told " yeah so we just went ahead and refunded you for your purchase" but why wasn't I contact as requested? why wouldn't anyone want to call and apologize? Saw this place online and needed something quick and cheap. I could’ve never known what was in store for me. As I walked into the tiny shop and ordered from the sparse menu I was impressed at the low price and cleanliness. And the absolutely delicious smell made me order more than expected. I got a smal Greek salad, a Zeus burger and a chicken kabob. They brought out my food very quick(kind of them since it was freezing out) and I pulled away to begin my long drive home. I ate the kabob first because the smell was so good. As I hit into the freshly cooked chicken my thoughts went to the fact I had only tipped 20%. This deserved at least 30%. It was so juicy, greasy, and flavorful. I finished it quickly. Then onto the burger. Again, the smell was delicious but I was not prepared for the flavor. The tomato with the onion and crispy gyro meat(dark exactly like it should be) and a grilled bun was perfect. A clear 10/10. I considered, was marriage on the table? Surely these wonderful men were already taken. I finished it quickly despite it being a good portion. Onto the salad. I expected the least out of this salad. I mean, there’s not much you can do with a Greek salad, it’s the same everywhere right? WRONG. This is the best salad I’ve ever had and I don’t know why. Did they sprinkle pixie dust on it? I ordered 1 large gyro and 1 gyro salad. Both with tzatziki sauce, for curbside pickup. You call the phone number when you arrive and they bring out your order. Great! All the sooner i can get home from work, get comfy and dig in. Nope. There was no sauce for either entree. I called the same phone number that I called earlier but it went to a message that said the number is not set up for voicemail. Nobody answered. I went back to the store because what is a gyro without sauce. When I got there and told them that there was no sauce there was no "I'm sorry". Only "oh, we must have forgot". He then placed 2 sauces on the counter. I asked since 1 entree was a large could I get 1 more sauce. He gave it to me. I then asked if he could possibly adjust the bill a little bit for having to come back and get it. He reached into his tip jar and gave me $1.00. Then said "that's how much the sauces are and I already gave you 1 free one." I told him to keep it. I left and don't plan on returning.
