Well, in answer to your query, 5 stars is an exceptional rating validated by best- ever experiences and interactions... that there were a few missteps is where the missing star went. Parking - well, it's downtown - rarely convenient. First impressions of the shop and outside areas - interesting and a bit provocative; that in itself is a good way for people to feel invited. Now, upon entering said establishment: retro, recycled furnishings that add a mystic vibe. Spacing of sityadown areas is cozy; counter/cabinets are utilized well for display. The back entrance is typical when finding alternative parking. Service was ok - not great, An almost serve yourself ideal exists - though, not stated. Bussing your own wares is usually ok, though having a sign presenting said statement might be taken less as a required task and more as a thanks for helping. Oh, and there are, in fact, older folks who do frequent this place - you, as the owner, may want to consider how importantly 73 million retirees might impact the bottom line. You know, money, time and no...

Everything is always great here, as far as food and service.

I wish there were a few more comfortable spots though for getting work done on a laptop. Not the most efficient table layout to accommodate big and small groups in the space. It’s not my first choice downtown solely because of this.

Also not a fan of the random guy playing a guitar. Not clear if it’s “live music” or just some guy playing. But it’s making it loud for no reason on a Tuesday morning, if it’s just a practice sesh the staff could have asked him to go outside not drown out the conversation of everyone meeting for coffee this morning. If that’s the case it’s also pretty rude on his part, but that’s not the fault of the business other than they allow it.

Overall this is a great spot to visit, stroller friendly. Great food. Big menu. Vegan and vegetarian options. Higher priced than your average chain coffee, but the...

The staff is always very friendly and helpful; always ready to answer any questions one may have. The interior is adorned beautifully with repurposed materials from the original shop, giving the cafe a very warm and welcoming feel. There’s shaded outdoor seating in the back for those beautifully warm summer days.

The espresso is pretty good- the lattes always have the best foam.

The food is amazing- I’m always awed at how delicious my meals are. Though I do wish there were more gluten-free vegan options, I thoroughly appreciate that there’s more than one, which is rare in a meat and cheese loving state.

I enjoy visiting Brewed Awakenings frequently because I know I’ll always leave caffeinated, nourished, and with a huge...

This visit was for a coffee passport we have the Coffee, Cappuccino, Food, Biscotti and dessert was fantastic the service was something to be desired as the servers were rather silent... They didn't say things like we'll have that right up for you after paying for your coffee. When they delivered the Coffee and sandwiches they set them down and left without saying a word! This happened for the additional individual purchases of the biscotti and the desert crumble cake! Conversation and a dismissal phrase after a purchase gives your customers a direction!

What is this lettuce? Got halfway through my wrap and lost my appetite after pulling the lettuce out because the texture was mushy and unpleasant, to find that the lettuce is nowhere near fresh. Wrap was sopping with dressing and watery, with years of food industry experience the chicken is low quality, can definitely tell its not fresh cooked chicken. Had higher hopes for this place. Go to Koi in Menasha if you’re looking for good, quality food. My drink was good though.

Absolutely fantastic!! This was my first time dining here and I loved everything about this place. The service and food were excellent. Delicious, healthy, fresh, and organic. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I had the Vegetarian Sunrise and I could not have been more pleased. Warm, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere. Great wallet friendly prices. I have definitely found my new go to spot. Can't wait to return.
