Do not recommend going here.
We were here Sunday night and were a party of 4. To start the hostess had a major attitude problem. Then we get to our table there was crumbs all over the seats that we had to brush off and used napkins and the table was not clean. We had to ask 2x for our table to get wiped. Our server, I believe was a manager, had a grey button up shirt on, acted annoyed when we asked for a rag. Anytime he came to our table he acted annoyed with us, gave us an attitude, and acted like we were inconveniences to him. Their service in general was terrible. At one point we had a female server walk up tell us she was our server and asked to take our order. We were so confused. We had already ordered. To top it all off we all received cold food. Ice cold! Oh and they even forgot one of my husband's tacos. I understand being short staffed or busy but you should never receive cold food, unless its a cold food item. We waited well over 30 minutes for our food. It took a good 10 minutes or so for someone to come back after our food was delivered. We only complained about the nachos being cold and were told by the male/manager server that they could remake it with a major attitude. We said no and he said he would take them off our bill. No apology or anything and he also never took them off bill. He actually kind of laughed about it. The nachos were ordered as an appetizer for the table but we received them with the rest of our food. We also asked for extra napkins several times and never received them. We were all incredibly disappointed with our visit. We have been here a few times and have never had a good experience with the service. It takes forever to get anything extra you ask for or you don't get it at all and you rarely even see your server. Between the poor service and cold food we will not being going back. Its not like this review will matter as they are always busy anyways. We stopped going to Sangria's for similar reasons.
JUST A TIP: There is such a thing as being too busy. If you don't have the staff to keep up, then maybe add a wait list or let customers know there may be a wait. Its not an excuse for cold food and waitstaff/managers with poor attitudes. Good service is almost...
Read moreNoon on a Sat. In May, before the farmer's market got underway. Traffic on College Ave. downtown was bumper-to-bumper between the lights. Getting out of a street parking spot on College Ave. was a challenge. There is a zero-entry curb towards the Dollar Tree. The "air lock" style, two-door, entry would be difficult with a wheelchair. The restaurant was not busy. Plenty of seating. Definitely on the chilly side. I don't mind being a little cool, but my wife would have needed a jacket. Your food will cool off very quickly. The hostess was nice. The person that served me might have been an owner or a manager. He was very upbeat and keen on assisting me. He made recommendations and checked on me just the right number of times. The chips smelled like burnt popcorn. The salsa was ok. Nothing special or notable. The tacos were served on an aluminum tray with sandwich paper under them. They are prepared on corn tortillas made in-house. They are very soft. The three tacos I ordered were served two as open-face and one folded with a sauce. Two of the tortillas were covered in sauce so they were very wet when picked up. This gets your hands very messy. I'd recommend using the fork, but the tacos are difficult to cut w/o a knife. Though, messy fingers will keep a person from messing with their phone when eating... probably. The first chicken taco I had was ok. The flavor was very mild. 2nd chicken taco had a much better flavor and was not as messy. The Birria taco, recommended, was coated in a sauce. It had a very good flavor, but with sauce on it and the side sauce, it required a fork. The place was clean. The music 80's/90's pop. It would be very loud if there were a lot of ppl. I had to wash my hands after the meal, so I used the restroom. The men's room was generously sized and would accommodate a wheelchair. I probably would not go back. Not that it was bad, more because the food was messy to eat. The food was ok, overall. The birria taco tasted good, but eating it was a challenge unless you wanted to get your hands dirty. It would be way too loud for my tastes if it were busy. If I were to meet friends here, I'd probably order...

Chips and salsa: The chips reminded us of the chips we had in Texas, which were thicker, yet airy, lightly salted and warm. The salsa had zero heat and was just kind of blah - 2
Unicorn Margartia: Did something different here and got a specialty margarita. It was a fruitier margarita that came with a color changing “ice cube”. Was a very weak margarita - 3
Virgin Strawberry Margarita: Blended, nothing spectacular but a special treat for the kid and she rates it high - 5
Steak Taco: Flavor: 1 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 3
The steak for the taco was chopped up so fine, it was almost to the texture of ground beef. The meat had ZERO flavor. The tortilla wasn’t fried up in anyway and was very frail. I was able to take two bites and it all fell apart and had to be eaten with a fork
Chicken Taco: Flavor: 3 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 4
The chicken was chopped, which is always way better than shredded. The chicken was juicy and flavored good
New Taco Review
Ribeye Fundido Flavor: 5 Fullness: 4 Appearance: 4
This taco was extremely flavorful. The meat had a grilled char flavor to it.
Service: The server was very friendly and wanted to explain everything to us - 5
This restaurant just has a vibe about it. It is was bright, welcoming and just felt like THE place to be at. It seems like the place you would want to start your night at before going out. They are definitely more of a specialty/unique taco place and not an authentic Mexican restaurant. We would come back again to try more of the specialty tacos.
