🙏 ⚠️🙏⚠️ Retain your receipt for verification purposes⚠️🙏⚠️🙏
It is extremely unprofessional to call anyone in the middle of the night to discuss this matter. Shame on you. I appreciate you admitting that you added the tip onto my receipt prior to delivery without my knowledge. It's truly not about the tip dollar amount. This incident and complaint is about you lying and committing a crime. You stole from me. It does not matter if it's one dollar, fifty cents, or three dollars. Theft is theft. You altered my receipt. You guys are dishonest. You lack integrity.
‼️‼️‼️‼️ On July 27th at 4:35 PM, a telephone conversation was conducted with Kevin, who identified himself as a manager or owner. During this conversation, it was explicitly stated that the addition of gratuity to a receipt without the customer's consent is illegal. Despite this, Kevin indicated a need to consult with the host. It is imperative to reiterate that such practices are unlawful. While the monetary value may be nominal, the issue at hand is one of integrity. The alteration of the receipt by an employee constitutes unethical behavior and potentially a criminal offense‼️ ‼️‼️‼️
On July 24th, a food purchase was made. Upon reviewing the credit card merchant copy, it was noted that the tip amount had been altered by the employee.
A copy of the receipt was requested and a photograph of the merchant copy was taken prior to returning it to the employee. The bank account was subsequently monitored for the authorized transaction amount.

Read moreHave to say without a doubt, easily the WORST chinese food I've ever had in my life. It has good reviews so I'm genuinely confused how. We went in with a large group of 9 so we were able to get MANY dishes to pass around and try. Before the food review, I just want to say that there was a lot of space for our group as it was not busy but they shoved us onto 1 big round table but not big enough as our chairs touched one another. The server was impatient even though it wasn't a busy time. Every dish was plain, odd tasting, and/or just bad. The seafood boil was lacking flavor and clams not properly cleaned. The "seafood hot pot" was nothing but seafood and undercooked veggies in a sour clear soup. My husband loves Mapo Tofu but this tasted like bland tomato soup with peas and carrots. The sesame chicken dish flavor was fine but you could tell it was old, reheated chicken. If you ate it right away it was warm on the outside but cold on the inside. We also got overfried duck that was dry and burnt. Lastly, we had very lackluster udon noodles. We had to pack it up and reseason it at home! This restaurant offers Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine. Normally, I always say if they specialize in a certain type of cuisine (Chinese cuisine in this case), just stick to what they're good at. HOWEVER, this restaurant did not have redeeming qualities other than the tables...
Read moreMy host Sienna was very smelly but kind and had very beautiful smile. I found my greeting once I entered through the doors to be acceptable. Upon entry, one is struck by the juxtaposition of understated decor and meticulous attention to spatial harmony. The design is elegant without being austere—earth tones, carved wood panels, delicate silk screens—subtle cues that you are about to dine in a space shaped by reverence for heritage. The lighting is soft and inviting, with an ambient warmth that encourages lingering conversation and mindful eating. The staff are paragons of professionalism: attentive but never intrusive, informed without pretension. They speak with pride about the dishes, offering thoughtful recommendations grounded in both tradition and the chef's seasonal innovations. Let me be clear: the food here is extraordinary. It is a rare alchemy of precision, heart, and deeply rooted cultural technique. It is no exaggeration to say that Dong Po Restaurant is among the finest Chinese restaurants I have ever reviewed—not just in Wisconsin, but in North America. It is the rare establishment that reveres tradition while speaking in a modern culinary voice. Each dish tells a story. Each plate is an offering.
Whether you are a seasoned gastronome or a curious diner, a pilgrimage to Dong Po is not just recommended—it is required.
