Rancho — Restaurant in Archdale

The only reason I’m giving this place a star at all is it’s the only way to leave a review. Although the bathrooms were clean. Not much else was!! Salt and pepper shakers were so dirty and caked with old salt and pepper you could see thru them! We were so hungry from traveling we stayed. The food took 3 minutes to come out!! I have a problem with that when one meal was chicken, which I was told was cooked to order! It was grayish, tough and warm. The baked potatoes were warm, burnt and sour cream was also warm along with the Mac and cheese. The burgers were tough and the chicken parmigiana was tacky with tough over cooked chicken. You could tell everything even the burgers were precooked and reheated in the microwave! There was no flavor. It was so bland not even my grandchild would eat it! When I told the waitress, she said “ well you can’t expect a five star restaurant “ I explained that I didn’t ! What I did expect was edible food! She then said the food came in frozen, sealed packages to heat. I refused to pay, and was still charged for portions of the meal that was eaten off! Staff was rude and did nothing to try and fix the issue, just demand I pay 40$ for food that wasn’t fit for a dog!! I’ve been in the service industry for over 30 years! This place is a walking health code violation!! My son who choked down a burger because he was hungry, threw up when we got back to our hotel!! I DO NOT Recommend. And will be calling the health department!!! Don’t waste...

I ordered a chopped steak, fries, okra. The food its self was good, however my problem was that before I placed my order, I asked directly if they had A1 sauce, I was told "yes", hence the reason I ordered chopped steak. When my food came , I was asked which sauce I would like, I told her, she placed on the table a knock off brand of what I asked for. I told her this is not AI sauce, she stated it is all they have. If I was told this before I ordered, I would asked for something else. This may not be a problem for some people, unfortunately for me it is. I also noticed the server came back to my table one time for a refill of my drink. I clearly could see some of the servers walking an talking to other people, offering refills several times to other tables, other servers were just standing at the front looking around. The guy clearing the tables offered me more refills, then the ones that we give tips to. Even paying my bill, the two ladies seemed more concerned with a recipe that was in a magazine, no Chit Chat no askeing, "how was the food", just take my money, give me a receipt have a nice day. It came across as the buddy system, that if you were one of there a buddy's (friends)or part of the "in-crowd" great, let's talk to you, if not we don't have time to talk to you, just give me the money and go. There was no come back and join us again attitude or warm feeling, that would make me look forward to going back there...

WARNING.. PLEASE READ!!! My husband and I ate at Rancho Restaurant in Archdale yesterday evening. I want to explain my rating. And my concerns. For out of the can/ frozen food homestyle cooking, the food is very good. I would rate with 4 stars. Pricing is unbelievable for the amount of food that you get. I would rate that 5 stars, more if possible. So why the 1 star? A large amount of good food at a great price is NOT WORTH THE RISK. I regret eating there in fear that I could possibly be in danger of COVID-19. I seen only two of the many staff wearing a mask correctly. I was told by Kelly a waitress that she doesn't even have to where a mask. Not even the cashier had it on correctly. If it is only on your neck or mouth, just take it off. To the owner... People are keeping your restaurant alive by ordering your food. You (THE OWNERS) should have higher standards for your staff and do your best to make your customers feel safe in this pandemic. I would not ever order a Togo order because of the traffic in and out of the kitchen with no masks. By the way.... if the owner drives the black BMW SUV, then you are already aware of this and shame on you... People, please be safe and make your choices wisely. Nothing is worth...
