I need to give a shout out to Tyler, the assistant manager who assisted me on my very first visit. I told him that me and my husband were on a low-carb diet and he explained to me the lettuce wrap or put the meat in pan method. First of all, when I walked in the store it was super clean, I got a hello welcome, Tyler was the first to say how can I help you and I felt very special. He started to explain to me everything I needed to know. They went to the back to get a piece of lettuce to show me how big the lettuce wraps were and I was surprised. So I got a regular Cheeseburger which the order is for two double meat, which by the way he told me they make every morning hand made. It came with lettuce, pickles, onions, mushrooms, ketchup, mayo, mustard, jalapeño peppers, tomatoes all wrapped up in iceberg lettuce. I must say that this was one of the best hamburgers I have had in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. Especially for people who are on low-carb diets. I did not miss the bread at all. He also said that they have different sauces like A1, or the spices that they sprinkle on fries I sprinkle it on my hamburger. I can tell you this I will be going to their weekly. This is like finding a hidden gem. And to top it off when I left there were peanuts that they give you while you’re waiting and I took a few home. They were delicious and high protein and low-carb. Thank you Five Guys for hiring good employees that set a great example at your store In Arlington Texas. Sincerely, Customer who will return...
Read moreI visited Five Guys on July 22nd around 9:20 PM. I walked up to the register and asked for a grilled cheese with fries. The cashier asked if I wanted Cajun fries, and I agreed to try them. I also ordered a coffee shake.
While waiting, I looked at my receipt and noticed the total seemed higher than expected. I had been charged $9.09 for a patty melt, but I clearly remembered asking twice for a grilled cheese. When I asked the cashier about it, she told me they were the same thing. What made me question it further was the price difference on the menu, the grilled cheese was listed at $5.69. I don’t eat meat, which is why I specifically requested grilled cheese. She ended up refunding me for the price of the meat patty, which I appreciated.
As for the food: the grilled cheese had potential but missed the mark. It seemed like the cheese wasn’t melted well or just wasn’t good quality. It left me disappointed. The highlight of my meal was the Cajun fries, they were really flavorful and the best part of the visit. The coffee shake was okay, but I felt it could’ve had a stronger coffee flavor. Not bad, just a little underwhelming.
I’m giving 2 stars because the food wasn’t terrible, just a bit pricey and underwhelming overall. I would go back for the fries, they were...
Read moreHoly cow....bad experience today. The girl who took my order wasn’t nice nor was anyone else who worked there. We got a regular fry to share- they just gave us a cup of fries, usually we get it in a bag and there’s extra on the bottom but the cup wasn’t even full. Plus we are pretty sure we got a small. All of them were soggy and we got mostly nasty ends. When I asked for Mayo to make a fry sauce they were like smirking behind the counter at me and the ketchup dispenser was out so I had to ask for that too. There were only a few other customers there so they had the time to do a better job and didn’t. On top of that- they knew it was bad. They wouldn’t even make eye contact with us while we were eating... I love five guys fries but obviously not here. The kitchen staff was arguing too, talking about some girl who clocked out and left without telling anyone. I don’t know- bad location but probably in the top 5 worst restaurant experiences I’ve had. Two stars for liking other locations. Totally disappointed 😞 but if corporate reads this can I get a refund?? 😂
UPDATE: I reached out to corporate and they are having problems at this location but they corrected my issue, 4 stars for...
