Jason's Deli — Restaurant in Arlington

This restaurant has a great selection of sandwiches, salads, and soups. For the vegetarian to the person following a ketogenic regimen, there is plenty of variety at fair prices that's prepared quickly after ordering at the register and is brought to the table of your choosing. They have signature salads or a full salad bar. I'm a fan of the Big Chef salad and get it with a cup of the tomato basil soup for a very satisfying meal. The restaurant is clean with a self-service drink station offering freshly brewed flavored teas and soft drinks with water available as well. I would recommend this as a great standby or place to have a get together with friends and family. It can be a bit loud at times which has to do with the acoustics of the interior and architecture so for the hard of hearing or those sensory processing concerns this might not be your first choice. I ordered curbside from this location but decided to go in and grab my food as it was raining and felt it would be better for me to get wet instead of the curbside employee.

As I’m in there waiting (it wasn’t ready), the guy making my sandwiches sticks his hands in the sanitizer bucket WITH THE SAME GLOVES he was wearing to make sandwiches. The same gloves he used to box our sandwiches!!! - If I didn’t go in I would’ve never known!!

The Togo girl used the same gloves to operate her cell phone and the cash register all while cutting and boxing cheesecake!

When I told the Manager he said “oh, well he uses sanitizer water to keep his area clean” and the girl at the front he would talk to her. That’s cross contamination!! You can’t wear the same gloves to clean and handle food! Our cell phones are the dirtiest item we own so it’s not okay to touch your phone and package fresh food!

I picked up an order today. Pedro was my server. I ordered from the Vegetarian menu not realizing I had to expressly tell Pedro to not include the chicken. I also discovered two items were missing from the salad. So, I went back to Jason's to get this corrected. I told Pedro about the missing items & he said "I don't believe those items were missing ". He said thos more than once. I asked him if he was calling me a liar. He then stated he just didn't believe his kitchen staff could leave off those items. Pedro also said "we know people like to get free things ". By this time I am tired of being insulted. I asked for the manager. He finally came over & did confirm that the two items were indeed missing from the salad. Obviously, I no longer wanted a salad so the manager refunded the cost.
