I recently had the pleasure of dining at Twisted Tavern, and I have to say, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. The decor is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern flair, creating a cozy yet vibrant environment that makes you feel right at home.
The staff at Twisted Tavern truly go above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels valued. From the host who welcomed us with a genuine smile to our attentive server Maddie who was knowledgeable about the menu, the service was impeccable. It’s clear that the team is well-trained and dedicated to providing an exceptional dining experience. They were quick to answer any questions we had and made excellent recommendations that did not disappoint.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The menu is diverse and offers something for everyone, whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or something lighter. I started with the loaded fries, which were piled high with fresh fries and had just the right amount of spice. For my main course, I opted for the signature burger, and it was hands down one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Cooked to perfection, juicy, and topped with a delicious blend of flavors, it was a true delight. The fries that accompanied it were perfectly crispy and seasoned just right.
What impressed me even more was the drink selection. Twisted Tavern boasts an extensive list of craft beers and creative cocktails. I tried their house special cocktail, which was refreshing and expertly mixed. It complemented my meal beautifully and showcased the bartenders' skills.
The atmosphere during my visit was lively but not overwhelming, making it a great place for both a casual night out and special celebrations. I noticed several tables celebrating birthdays and other milestones, and the staff made sure to acknowledge these special occasions, adding a personal touch that truly enhances the experience.
Overall, my visit to Twisted Tavern was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of fantastic food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere makes it a standout spot in the area. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Twisted Tavern. I can’t wait to return and explore more...
Read moreMy husband and I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Twisted Tavern. Very rarely do I say that an hour and a half wait is worth it, but it was 100% worth it tonight and we'll be happy to wait again next time, knowing what's coming. From start to finish, everything was phenomenal. I started out with the blackberry smash--ugh! Not too strong, not to sweet, it was PERFECT. Do yourself a favor and get one. Ditto for their current special drink--I don't remember what it was called, but it has spicy rum in it and YES. PLEASE. I even licked the spicy sugar rim off the glass (because SOMEBODY has to be the freak in the corner entertaining the rest of the patrons). We had the crab rangoon app-- chef's kiss. We loved the brussels, the street corn, the spaghetti (bravo to whoever decided that spaghetti should be a side-- you somehow read my husband's mind. It has taken me 6 years to master that art. Teach me your ways.), my lobster melt, the wedding cake (swoon).... it was all so fantastic, but the crown jewels were the ribeye that my husband picked (if you miss out on this current special... well, sucks to suck, my friends), my espresso martini, and our top notch server, Shawna. Somebody call the coroner because I am deceased. I think that was the best steak I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and practically melted in my mouth. Don't even get me started on the flavor, I'll never shut up. My martini was EVERYTHING. The rest of our night could have sucked and this espresso martini would've made up for it. I mean, if that martini was the last thing to pass my lips before I die, that would be okay. As if all that wasn't enough, Shawna is the Twisted Tavern Espresso Martini of servers. We enjoyed both her service and her company from the time we sat down to the time we walked out the door. We lacked nothing the entire time we were there and on top of that, she's a ray of friggin' sunshine. She was friendly, sweet, intuitive, and her timing was dead-on. Bless you, Shawna. You (and, let's be honest, also my espresso martini) were the cherry on top of our flawless dinner. All y'all should do yourselves a favor and go check out...
Read moreWhile I ead disappointed in my main ordered item, I did try enough of others, that my 3 stars was merited onstrad of 2.
I ordered the "Brisket Grilled Cheese" which my first mistake was ordering the ONE menu item without any descriptive. It was NOT grilled, it was a TOASTED sandwich. Cheese was 1 single piece of smoked gouda. The brisket was shredded & tasted like over-sauced (I cannot believe that I am saying something is over sauced...ME!) shredded pork when I wad honestly expecting beautiful slices of beef brisket. But then again...no descriptive. :( Took two bites...history...no desire for more. Fries were even pretty lackadaisical.
BUT...the Brussel Sprouts with Grits.... total redemption for anything I could complain about, because it was a party in my mouth! If I go again, I will order it, & a side of grilled shrimp...mix it all together...perfection! The portion of it was generous. It should be a meal, not an app, in my opinion..maybe with the mentioned shrimp & a small side salad?
Mom's Salmon with mashed cauliflower was very good...the sauce was perfect! It wasnt a typical "mash" but still tasty as ever! The 2nd most impressive thing!
Another party member, had a chicken sandwich with "mashed potatoes" & it was more of a "smashed"...very dry. Literally looked like a baker, smashed dry. The sandwich looked typical to me, but she was pleased.
Fried pickles were great for the coins (I prefer spears)...the sauce not great.
Chicken Caesar Salads were great....delish dressing...croutons were fresh, but tasted a bit like over used oil. Both the small & large were generous portions.
I was overall disappointed since I was STOKED to go after my daughter hyped it up!l Nothing but the brussels & grits would entice me back. And...I can make it better, at home. But it WAS worth the stars. Hiwever, the PRICES make me feel it should be MUCH better, with a better caliber of service, as well. The waitress was robotic & didn't know the simplest things about the menu. She refilled our glasses of water/tea, using a pitcher & TOUCHED OUR GLASSES with the pitcher spout...a HUGE no no, especially with COVID. New glass...
