Reviewing Feb 13, '25 Being a convenient stop close to my gym and carrying some good brands that I like to purchase, I visited this Target location to grab a few food items. I decided to stock up with 4 bags of Target's brand of tortilla chips - Good & Gather. These were on sale for 2/$7. A large 8.5x11 inch sign was displayed by the chips. When using the self-checkout, I noticed they were not ringing up at sale price. I notified the associate and she checked with her handheld scanner. She said there was no sale on the chips. I protested that it was being advertised in the aisle as on-sale. I was then asked if I had a picture of the sale tag. This threw me; who takes pictures of item prices they are about to buy? After some awkward back-n-forth with the employee that clearly struggles with problem solving, I was the one who would have to go all the way to the back of the store to take a picture of the sale tag - I did a price check as a customer. I also had to suggest that my scanned items be moved to the side since it was busier than normal and I did not want to hold other folks up. I made my way back to the aisle, took a picture and removed the large sale sign to show the associate. When I showed the employee the sign, she informed me that the small numbers in the lower right signified that the sale had expired (see photo). Sure, the numbers there make sense as dates if you know that, but as a customer, it does not convey that these are the valid sale dates. Nothing clearly denotes this and one could eaisly assume the numbers are related to stocking/aisle locations. Apparently, this sale ended on the 9th. So for 4 days, no employee caught this large out-of-date signage. I'm sure many customers in that timeframe got duped into thinking they were saving money. Now most would expect this falsely advertised price to be honnored. Nope. I asked if the price could be amended and, after some pressing, was offered the 2/$7 price "if you did, like, buy only two of them". This was the final straw, I just left my groceries and went to Schnucks. After doing a price check, taking down old signage, and trying to find a solution to the issue, I was not going to put up with poor action on such a simple issue. I'll make an effort to shop at other stores even though some of my go-to items cost up to 30% more elsewhere. But that's fine, none of this is about the money - it's all about the principle. tl;dr Target doesn't honor prices if they fail to remove expired sale sinage half a week later. Employee had no problem-solving skills. I, as a customer, had to work for the store in an employee capacity - no paycheck received.

Self check employee couldn’t stop gossiping with her coworker long enough to properly audit my Shipt order and then to add insult to injury, this box of reject bags was my “bagging station”. I often do orders with 30+ items and having to individually open bags from this mess adds a lot of unnecessary time to my day and means I make less money. God forbid I have to double bag something, either. That’s a fiasco. I do not feel that targets that treat Shipt shoppers like this have any respect for us.

I absolutely love this Target. It's the closest one to where I live. The store is well organized and has a lot of great products. The red card is a great thing to have since it gives you 5% off of everything. You can either get it as a credit card or a debit card which is nice. Also their mobile app is a great tool to have for more savings. They have mobile offers that you can add for additional savings. The store is well kept and always is clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.

3 broken TV’s!

I bought a 65” TCL TV on sale for a great deal. Took it home to discover it was a return item with the entire accessory package missing. I called the store and asked if they had another TV to replace this one. Adna who was extremely nice checked on this for me while I was on hold. She forgot to mute the phone on her end so we could hear her asking the back of house to open the box and double check everything is there over and over again. They told her everything was in the box. When I came to exchange it Adna was apologizing for the inconvenience while she made the exchange for me.

I took the 2nd tv home, unloaded it into the house, opened the box and the 1st thing I noticed was that the accessories package seemed used. I opened it further to discover that the remote looked like it was used along with loose screws and scratched up legs. Not something one would notice right away but this made me investigate further. It turns out this TV had scratches all over it. It looked like someone repackaged it and returned it to the store.

The next day I called the store to tell them my story. They apologized for the inconvenience. I asked them to see if they had a TV that was not opened. They found one with the plastic straps still around the box. I asked them to hold it for me until the afternoon when I could bring the 2nd TV to exchange for this 3rd TV. They held it for me. I came that afternoon and this time I opened the box myself before leaving to make sure everything is in order. Adna was there apologetic as always helping me with this TV. The bands were still on the box as promised, the accessories bag was new, the legs were in their spot and the TV looked great when the styrofoam came off. I didn’t remove the foam padding because it looked to be in great shape. I took the 3rd TV home, removed my old TV from the wall, unpacked the new TV only to find that the entire screen was shattered to pieces. I didn’t see this at the store as the padding was still on it covering the screen.

You can only imagine how furious I was when I discovered the 3rd TV was damaged also. I calle the store and got Paul on the phone. We spoke and he tried to help by looking through the boxes in the back for another TV. He discovered that the last TV they had was also damaged. After trying to figure out what to do with me he offered to refund the purchase but I needed to bring the TV back. I was not happy with this as you can imagine. I asked him to see where else they may have this particular TV around town. It turned out that every store but the furthest one from me only had one in stock. Paul informed me not to trust the inventory numbers and to call ahead instead. I really didn’t want to drive any further than I already have and really didn’t want to have to call 10 different stores to see if they had a TV that’s in good shape. This led me to ask if he would upgrade me to a LG TV that was only $100 more than the TV I tried. He looked it up and after about 5 minutes on hold said he would be happy to make that exchange for me. I asked for the model number so I can google it really quick and we came to an agreement to make the final exchange.

I took TV 3 back to the store to find Adna working again. I could see how embarrassed she was even thought none of this was her fault. She started the exchange again for the 4th time but the TV Paul and I agreed on was not the TV waiting for me. It was an older Vizio TV that was about 4 years older than the TCL TV I originally wanted or the LG Paul and I agreed on for the exchange. I was tired of all of this so I wanted to just be out of there. We opened the box to take a look and it was truly a world of difference between the two TVs. Simply not the same thing. I asked Adna to call Paul and ask what happened to the LG TV we spoke about. He said he thought we spoke about the Vizio. I don’t know how that would be possible when he gave me the model number of the LG to look up. Adna asked him if we can still exchange it for the LG and he said no. At that point I asked for my money...

Couldn't find anyone to help me in luggage, because the one I wanted had no tag on it. Walked around looking for help. Found no one... finally an unkempt gentleman walked by the aisle and I asked for his help, he said to take my item to someone else for help and then he took a call over his walkie and walked away as I tried to ask something else. Settled for another suitcase. I then noticed security following my family. No biggie. Continue on my way. Cashier checks my luggage to make sure nothing was in it. Understandable, that's his job. I pay $140 for my stuff. Then undercover security and the regular security stand by me and ask a manager to ask cashier to check my luggage again while they stare me down. I ask them if they want to check my coat too, undercover security chuckles and says it's procedure to check all luggage. I get that but to follow my family and I, stare me down and basically accuse me of stealing after the cashier checked the luggage and I spent my money in their lame, 2nd string, understaffed and unfriendly store is the very reason I will be returning my stuff tomorrow morning and never ever stepping foot in their store again. Avoid this store. The undercover security with the Napoleon complex will ruin it...
