Was excited to get to go back to our regular location. What a disappointment 😔. Already knew that it was going to be a sterile boring look from seeing other remodels done. No character anymore. Boring black and white pictures, silver chairs that look like they should be in a operating room and more cold 🥶 then before. The remodel didn't stop them from having multiple tables not cleared.... that was a norm before the remodel. But the service and food quality was horrible!!! People who came in quite a bit after us got their drinks long before us. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time and right when we sat down. Drinks took about 10 minutes to come. Food was longer than that. The biggest issue...we watched our food sit on the counter for over 10 minutes. Yes 10 minutes we started watching the clock when we realized it was our food, so it might be slightly longer. Asked for an omelette got runny nasty looking cold scrambled eggs. The waffle was about a quarter inch thick if that and had sat the longest on the counter it was so cold when it was finally brought to our table that the butter wouldn't melt. The other meal was so cold it wasn't eaten there. The hasbrowns were barely cooked and stone cold as were the eggs. The toast was barely toasted and stone cold. I saw it be buttered before the eggs were cooked. The sausage that was supposed to come with the meal was also stone cold and we had to flag down the server to even get it because it wasn't brought out with the other low quality food. We were never asked how our food was. Drinks were never refilled. Had to go to the counter to get our check. I believe that the server knew that it was all bad and couldn't have cared a bit. Very disappointing first time back. We might go ahead and drive a little further like we did during the remodel if this is going to be the norm at this...
Read moreWe just left the waffle house in Arnold and our meal was fine except for our Waffles which being named "Waffle House" one was way over cooked and the other way under cooked. I noticed that the loud mouth employee was talking to the cook about weather he'd rather be drunk telling stories or sober telling stories that he would rather be quote sober talking about lasherations on his ankles versus drunk having lacerations on his ankles to actually tell the story and not have forgotten because he was drunk, which in my opinion was distracting to the cook which is why our Waffles were not properly made. My boyfriend took the undercooked waffle up to the front and asked if it be removed from our bill and explained why. He returned to our table and all I could hear was rude remarks from the "loud mouth employee" about the situation. Then someone else who I didn't see came out and aproched out table and said something about my boyfriend throwing the waffle in someone's face which was clearly not the case at all we told him to look on camera if he suspected that.....he left then as my boyfriend went to go pay the "loud mouth employee" was going to make the cook pay for our meal . My boyfriend said oh no he doesn't have to pay and gave him the 20$......iv been in the restaurant business for a long time and if I was the manager I would be having a LONG talk with the employee that has such a loud voice you can't even thin, people are supposed to be having a meal you have somebody that's right there talking loud as heck about being stuck telling stories is NOT professional and makes waffle House look bad he was very distracting to the cook and just had a bad attitude and no...
Read moreThe food was fine. I mainly wanted to come here and talk about the employee that lended a hand during a tough time while I was eating at your restaurant. For some reason unknown, I was started having a panic attack while eating my meal. I felt like I was choking and couldn't breathe. I stepped outside to try and get fresh air. I was noticably freaking out. One of the employees came out and seen what was going on. I truly felt like I couldn't breathe. She had me sit down and talked me through to get me back to reality. I believe her name was Laz , but I could be wrong. I just know she brought me out of panic mode, was very caring, and took her time to calm me down when she didn't have to. She wasn't even serving my table. I have no complaints about my waiter or the food, but this act of kindness stuck out to me more than I can explain. It may not seem like a big deal to other people, but that was one of the nicest things a stranger/restaurant worker has ever done for me. I will definitely come back to this establishment not just because I had a good experience being served, but because you hire caring and compassionate people that do something for their customers that aren't within their scope of work but can still give them a great dining experience. Thank...
