Just got back from visiting here for our 6 year wedding anniversary. The staff was absolutely amazing, big shout out to the bartender who took care of us all night as we had bar seats but the rest of the staff we interacted with were super kind. The manager even came over at one point to check on us and wish us a happy anniversary. They took care of us and then some.
The food was absolutely incredible... They may have ruined corn for me as I can't have it any other way other than cacio e pepe now. The focaccia was some of the best we have had since visiting Italy and the chicken parm was by far the best I have ever had. The latke, believe it or not, was worth it and the veal rague was excellent. Everything we had was a home run. With that being said, you definitely pay for the quality here.
The place itself has an amazing vibe and the open kitchen concept is a legit open kitchen. It was amazing watching all of the hard work that went into the food, but the quality and the taste of each dish made that teamwork apparent.
Oh and the cocktails were on point and the type that were so good we had to do a second round.
Any time we have something big to celebrate again, I think I already know where we see going. If it is in your price range, you gotta go experience it...
Read moreI had very high expectations for Judy’s because we absolutely love Chef V’s other restaurant, Lita.
The good- atmosphere, INCREDIBLE. Drinks were some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. The Bloody Martini is my ideal dinner drink and the Cannoli Martini was outstanding/unique. The service was also very hospitable and attentive. We would 100% come back to the bar for drinks.
Sadly, our table was not as impressed with the food as we thought we would be. To start, appetizer portions are extremely small… making it hard to share, which many like to do when dining with others. Prices are quite high for how small the appetizers are. We enjoyed our pasta course the most, the Gnudi and Roasted Pork pastas. Both different and tasty. The red sauce (on Chicken Parm and side of Spaghetti) was very, very heavy on the oregano. If you do not like oregano, you will not like sauce here. We actually thought there could have been a mistake in the kitchen with the oregano? The Chocolate Beigne dessert- the flavors just didn’t mesh for me.
I love a good atmosphere and cocktail, but food is the most important aspect when dining out and paying premium prices. Overall, it didn’t hit the mark and I’d only return for...
Read moreVisited Judy's last night with six for a special birthday. Atmosphere is nice but very loud because of the open kitchen concept. There is no glass divider so you hear pots and pans clashing which equates to hard to hear. Ordered four appetizers including focaccia and there were 5 pieces for 6 ppl. huh??? if you are going to charge $16 for bread, can you make sure there is at least one piece for everyone. Next onto appetizers, latke is not a real latke which is shredded potatoes. Every appetizer was tiny. Entrees ...tasty but very small portions. Pasta was $36, strip steak $42 ( no sides included) and most outrageous part of dinner was the dover sole was $85 and supposedly shareable. Dish was the a single portion size Manager came over and said server made an error telling us it was shareable, offered us another entree which I assumed they would charge us for so we declined. Bill came and absolutely no discount off plus they addred a 20% auto service charge. $600 bill , $100 pp. Oy vey. Save your $$, on this kind of gimmicky restaurant ( we didn't get the jewish/italian theme) and go to Moonstruck or Brandos where service is impeccable and you don't feel like your...
