Mogo is the highest-rated Asbury Park "restaurant" on Yelp, & with good reason - because it's amazing. I DIE for the bulgogi (BBQ beef) tacos, served on a flour tortilla & loaded high with Asian pico. I add copious amounts of kimchi to it, too, to give it some extra flavor.
If you're a fan of spicy food, beware: Mogo is delicious, but nothing on their menu is truly spicy. Don't expect too much in that vein - but be satisfied with the other amazing flavors they put out.
If you're a Korean-food purist, also beware: Mogo is delicious, but as far as I can tell, nothing on their menu is truly Korean. Korean-inspired, yes, but authentic? Nah. This is beach food. Don't expect too much in that vein - but be satisfied with the amazing flavor they do put out.
If you're a cheapskate, ALSO beware: Mogo is delicious, but their generously sized beach tacos are a whopping $4. (Please note sarcasm). Don't expect a Chipotle-sized burrito or Taco Bell prices, but be satisfied that you're eating something so freaking outstanding for less than a Lincoln.

ย ย ย Read moreI had high expectations for Mogo since thereโs always a long line, but honestly, I left disappointed. I spent about $20 for three tacos, and only one of them was even halfway decent.
The fish taco was the best of the bunch, the flavor was decent, and it had a nice crunch. But the tortilla itself was cold and bland, almost like it came straight out of a grocery store package. The shrimp taco had good seasoning, but the batter was undercooked and mushy, which ruined it. The chicken taco was by far the worst: super overcooked, dry, and had a strange taste. To make it worse, it came topped with cilantro, which wasnโt listed on the menu.
The small kimchi cucumber side was actually the highlight, fresh and tasty. But the regular kimchi was mushy and unpleasant.
On top of the food issues, the service setup was incredibly inefficient. The line moves painfully slow, and it took forever just to get through a few customers. Itโs baffling that they donโt have a simple QR code or mobile ordering option in 2025, the wait feels unnecessary and outdated.
Overall, Mogo wasnโt worth the hype, the price,...
ย ย ย Read moreThoroughly enjoyed my tofu taco! There was lots of filling and everything in there was very flavourful. There was no room in my taco for anything more except hot sauce, so I put some kimchi and cucumber salad on the side. Iโm very picky about kimchi, but this was possibly the best Iโve had, and I really liked the cucumber salad too despite not usually being a cucumber fan. Even though I just got one taco, it was enough to be a light meal for me, but if youโre hungry you could definitely eat two or three (or more if your heart desires). A little bit of a line, but worth the wait! I also tried their Watermelon Lime Fresca earlier in the week, and it was really good, but a lot sweeter than other agua frescas Iโve tried - it was basically like juice. I probably wouldnโt get it again, at least not this flavour, but if you normally like sweet fruit drinks this is...
