Our family of three stopped in Saturday morning for some brunch. There were two other tables seated and waiting on food when we came in. We had our order taken at the counter from a child that was maybe 15 years old. We ordered blueberry pancakes for our 2 year old, my wife ordered a breakfast burrito and I ordered a sausage/egg/cheese breakfast sandwich. Other than the two kids working the counter, the only other adult worker was what appeared to be their mother cooking. After 45 minutes our food came to the table. I was brought a very strange sandwich with dry chicken, cucumber, tomato, lettuce and a Chipotle style sauce. I told the lady that I had ordered a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich but I would have to just keep this bazaar sandwich because we didn't have another 45 minutes to wait for the correct food. But she showed no sign of caring about the mistake and offered no resolution. I definitely regretting tipping $8 at the counter when we ordered on my $38 order of incorrect food that did not taste good at all. We were hoping to have found a new delicious place to eat in town, but we did not find that at Stony...
Read moreWhat a wonderful, unexpected treat and surprise. My wife and I were visiting from Ohio and planned to eat at another cafe up the street, but a nice lady noticed our dog, ended up chatting with us, and suggested we try Stony Hill. We did and we were so glad we did. She introduced us to the owners, made recommendations, and then we ordered. We ate outside because of our dog. Yet, the owner took so good care of not only us, he came out with a bowl of water for Jasper(our dog) and then came out with a piece of bacon for her. What a nice gesture! Our food was so delicious. My wife and I shared the breakfast sandwich and the egg and grits breakfast bowl. Hands down one of the best eggs and grits dish we ever had! We would highly recommend this new gem...
Read moreI should have read all of the reviews. Expensive for what it was. My son order bagel with cream cheese and fruit. It was almost $9 and portions were small. I could get a bagel with cream cheese cheaper in downtown Manhattan. The low star reviews were indicative of our experience. Food was lackluster, especially for the price. The person taking our order was nearly asleep and acted as if it was a bother. Maybe it was. I should have taken that as a sign to redirect our business. There was a lack of communication regarding how things worked in the restaurant. One of the orders came out much later than the other three without explanation. The staff was arguing in the back. Overall an unpleasant experience and one I would not...
