Literally the GREATEST RESTAURANT EVER!! Oh my gosh this was the BEST Italian food we have ever had the pleasure of having; if you’re craving, AMAZING authentic food in an exceptional restaurant, treat yourself to a meal here, it will not disappoint and you will leave with the BIGGEST smile on your face!
First off, the ambience is PERFECT and feels like a warm hug, the people are like FAMILY, so very kind and inviting, that you never want to leave and you just want to bask in the warmth!
We were so privileged to have the most PHENOMENAL server, Mia, who was an absolute angelic delight! She was like super woman and just had the most pleasant, kind-hearted, radiant disposition and she made our experience a true joy. A’mano’s attention to customer service and experience reel you in immediately and it’s lovely to be able to get your money’s worth and feel like you’re getting treated like royalty!
The A’mano team deserves the utmost respect and appreciation for being able to both cook, prepare, and serve all of their meals with love and meticulous detail! You can tell every single individual is so dedicated to creating the best environment for you to enjoy your stay, and it feels so special to go into a restaurant and feel like you’re a member of the family, even if it’s your first time!
The food itself was the BEST restaurant food me and my family have ever had, and we are a family of 6, so to satisfy even most of us is quite a monumental task! We range from 14 to 55, and one of my siblings has Autism, but there was a perfect meal to appropriately accommodate each person fantastically! I loved how Mia was so excited to share the gorgeous menu items and specials with us, and I truly appreciated how she kept us updated all night on any news from the kitchen that would affect the menu, so we’d know of all the alternatives and options available at a given point in time! We loved that the meals took careful precision and exhaustive planning, and that every ingredient even down to the garnishes were prepared to perfection. Every dish was absolutely delicious and we felt like we were able to get a true Italian dish experience and taste, without our food being doused in tasteless cream(s) or being served with little to no seasonings involved, which we have experienced at other restaurants that charge much more and deliver much less. I got the Salmon and it was absolutely EXQUISITE! I’ve had perhaps dozens of salmon dishes in my life, all ranging from lower to higher end price points and at various restaurants located all over the country, and this was the BEST SALMON I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE! It was buttery smooth, seasoned perfectly, and served with such immense attention to detail, I couldn’t stop staring at it in admiration! My mother got the mushroom pasta with the bolognese sauce which came highly recommended from Mia, and although my mother is quite picky and never one for heavy cream sauces, she was willing to try thanks to the glowing recommendation, and it was the best pasta she has EVER HAD! I tried some as well, and I do not like heavy cream at all because I feel it removes the flavor from the pasta, so I was not expecting to have my mind COMPLETELY changed but it was! My oh my, it was the single-greatest pasta I ever had the privilege and pleasure of having on my entire life! The sauce was absolutely delightful, not doused in cream, every piece of pasta looked like it was made by angels, and the dish itself tasted stunningly delicious down to the garnishes themselves.
I just wanted to extend the most sincere gratitude to Mia and Bethany and the team at a’Mano, you helped us ring in the New Year with amazing tides and our family felt so at peace and full of joy at your beautiful...
Read moreFirst, I read positive reviews, but after going to an Mano and looking to write a review I realized the majority of these reviews are years old. What a disappointment and evening of rudeness. It was a bad sign when we were parking (w/i 2 mins of our reservation)and they asked if we were still coming when we had already confirmed and they had no parking. We had to circle blocks to find a place on the street and then walk in the rain. When we told them we were parking they said, “We’ll, if it’s 15 minutes we’ll have to put you on the waitlist.” Very rude as we said we were here and they have no parking or valet. We get in and there are plenty of available tables, by the way. No one waits on us. It is extremely loud. Very casual. Our feeling was that this is a mistake, but maybe they’ll surprise us. Someone comes over and says how is everything?! Well getting waited on might help. Eventually a waitress comes to take our order. The menu was brief. Pastas were considered a first (I think 5 choices) and the seconds were (5) basics. We’re like we aren’t eating a pasta and another meal. We decide to keep it simple and just get out of here. One pasta and I chose chicken Parmesan. The waitress asks if I want to order pasta to go with that? It would just be a piece of chicken alone on a plate? Yes. So, I change to a pasta. Pastas come, small portions for the price. No offer of grated Parmesan, bread, nothing. One pasta was very bland and the other tasted familiar, not special. Meanwhile, it’s extremely loud and the whole time it’s as if we don’t have a waitress but rather a bunch of helpers offering nothing but the occasional water refill. Here we sit with this one simple plate. Nothing to compliment either. We eat. We wait and wait (the helpers have removed our plates). They eventually ask if we want to see a dessert menu (ignoring that they made a big deal to let us know that they were telling the waitress it was my guests birthday). No offer or even a mention of her birthday. I just said check please. Then it gets more rude. The check comes and there is a 2% healthcare charge on the bill. Whether you agree with it or not, I had never seen this. I nicely asked what it was. The waitress began giving me a dissertation trying to justify it asserting that rather than the owner increasing our meal costs an additional $4 or $5, the cost of food has been rising so much, etc. they were just charging this. This made no sense for several reasons. First $10 more for our two meals far outweighs the 2% and it says healthcare. I tell her it doesn’t sit right that if he’s a business owner and needs to raise his prices he should and I should know what I’m paying. Then she mentions it helps with their healthcare. I asked who decides who pays this. She said her owner. Here’s the bigger problem than the fact that they do not provide the food or condiments you expect in an Italian restaurant. She was condescending and rude about the 2%, they were rude about our reservation, the service was lousy, parking on the street blocks away in the rain without any consideration is rude, it’s extremely loud, and overall a disappointment. I’m a generous person. Helping another person isn’t a problem. This issue is bringing me a bill with an undisclosed charge and trying to belittle me as if I have no right to ask and you make demands when I came to bring you business? Simple kindness and treating us like you value our business probably would have offset some of the menu issues but you don’t have that on your menu either. You gave me no reason to return or recommend you. I have never been spoken to so badly by anyone I do...
Read moreI visited a mano for the first time a couple of weeks ago!
Food: The food was mostly great. For our appetizers we got the Burrata and Truffle Fries. The Burrata was the best Burrata I've ever had in my life hands down. Sooooo delicious. For our entrées, I got the Fusilli E Scallops and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Parmesan, both of which were delicious. The portion size of the Fusilli E Scallops is not the biggest, but it is perfect for one person, especially if you also plan to get appetizers and dessert. The Chicken Parmesan is MASSIVE and delicious. I preferred his dish over mine, but both were really good. For dessert we got the Strawberry Crumb Cake, and it was just okay. My boyfriend also ordered the Banana Daq 3000 for his drink, which has Haitian rum, Montenegro, banana, lime, Chardonnay cordial, and toasted sesame. We both agreed that the drink was also just okay. If we came again we probably would try a different drink.
Service: The service was the downfall of our evening. We waited for 40 minutes before anyone even came to our table take our order. It was a busy evening and our server was the bar tender so we tried to be understanding, but we were confused as to why we were assigned the bar tender as our server since he was very busy. Throughout the night, 3 different servers ended up helping us but the service was painfully slow. Everyone was very nice, but we do wish we didn't have to wait so long to order or get our waters refilled. Since the food was good, I would visit a mano again to see if the service is any different.
Atmosphere: Very cute, cozy, and fun atmosphere. I loved the lighting and layout of the restaurant.
TLDR: Great food, dessert was okay, painfully slow service, cute atmosphere. I wouldn't mind giving this place another try to see if the poor service was just a...
