T and I were getting together for brunch and wanted to try somewhere new. Though I am a coffee lover, T lovessssssssssss tea. As such, she chose “Just Add Honey!”
I had no idea that Just Add Honey even existed so I was excited to go. Just Add Honey sits in the Old Fourth Ward Area. It’s in the back of the main area and is nestled off in the back corner.
Upon arriving, the outside is very inviting. There is a patio area on each side of the door and one side has a flower wall which is perfect for selfies. As soon as I walked in, my eyes went wide. 👀
Vibrant ambiance Clean store Amazing staff
The store is wall to wall tea and all things associated. There are multiple varieties which is ideal as any flavor desired is on site. Being a lover of sweet tea I decided to get a “Georgia Peach!”
The “Georgia Peach” is a light brew that has a robust flavor but isn’t heavy. I decided to get mine with heavy sweetener. As there are multiple sweetener options I let the cashier decide for me and she chose honey and I am happy she did. The honey was the right amount of sweetener and didn’t overpower the natural tea flavor or splash of peach flavor.
The location has a variety of art along the walls which catches your eye. It’s as if each room of the establishment has its own theme and feel.
From paintings to chalk drawings, to the simple clean line ashetic. Just Add Honey is perfect for taking a moment away from the hustle and bustle of the city while taking time to open your laptop, a book, or just catch up with a good friend.
As I was trying to be good I didn’t get any of the cookies. However, I can’t wait to go back because the cookies look amazinggggggggggg.

Read moreSo I discovered the Sweet Auburn Market in Atlanta’s historic Edgewood area in mid-March 2018. I automatically fell in love with the market upon my first visit. As my friend, Nandi, and I were exiting the building, we decided to grab a sample of an iced Georgia peach tea. From the smoothness of that sample, I knew that I would be visiting Just Add Honey again very soon. This past weekend, I went to the market to get some groceries for dinner and again, I was drawn in by the day’s sample—a tea blend called Mint to Be. Brandi Shelton, the "tea lady" who started this business with her hubby, Jermail Shelton, saw me eyeing the tea, and graciously offered me a sample. It was delicious and I ended up walking into the warm and inviting space to get a large iced Georgia peach tea. Of course everyone loves a free sample, but the fact that the actual products were affordable got me in the door. The tea tasted so good that I assumed a 16 oz. must be about $6-$7 before taxes, but I was delightfully surprised to find that was not the case. I was so pleased with the prices, that I got a 24 oz. (the largest size available) and enjoyed taking in the essence that is Just Add Honey. Black-owned and family-orientated, this is a tea company that I am enthralled to be a patron of. If you are a resident of Atlanta or just a visitor of this buzzing city, I can absolutely guarantee that you will enjoy Just Add Honey as much as I do. The atmosphere is as calming as your favorite cup of tea, so head over to Just Add Honey and you will bee (pun all the way intended) filled with light,...
Read moreTea anyone??? Well this is definitely a hidden gem. One of my girlfriends wanted to host a Tea party and this is where we went. They have a lot of Tea varieties in thier shop that you can smell and read descriptions on what's in the Tea and how it helps your body, for instance relieving pain, or helping to calm you down. We were seated in a small area for our party. We each tried a different Tea so we decided to taste each other's since we could sample any. I got mango rose and the others got sweet ginger and peace of mind. All were very good but I think my favorite was mango rose. I'm down for anything fruity. We enjoyed chicken salad sandwiches that were slammin!!! OMG I wish we got more than one, we also enjoyed sweet potato scones I believe with a strawberry jam which was very good and there were mini cake squares. One was red velvet and the other two were chocolate and Birthday cake. I ended up with birthday cake and it was ok maybe because I was still thinking about that dang chicken salad on a buttery croissant. Either way it was a great time. We dressed the part and looked super cute. Our waitress was Brittany and she was really sweet and super nice. we were running late and they allowed us to extend our Tea party an extra hour for a fee of course but it was still nice. Parking is scarce which can be inconvenient however if you drive together as a group that helps or...
